The Three Amandas remind us of our mortality in a far more pleasant way than the current medical emergency! Beautiful voices all and alluring dance! Apollo’s Fire continue to bring splendid music to us under difficult circumstances. It’s a pity that the ensemble need to wear masks as the facial expressions and communication are a joy to watch under normal circumstances. However the body language still radiates the pleasure of each musician in the making of their music! Jeannette Sorrell you have created something wonderful in bringing together such talented and enthusiastic artists in Apollo’s Fire! Thank you all for bringing your music into our lives. The world is more wonderful because of you!

Seeing the musicians playing with their masks on, it seems incredible and nightmarish what we all have gone through, and I can only revive the emotion I felt the first time we were allowed to attend concerts again

Une des pépites ensorcelantes dans le monde de la musique Baroque (qui n'en manque pas). Nous savourons le travail de Jeannette Sorrell. A noter encore ses arrangements sur l'ensorcelante Folia de Vivaldi donnée à Toronto en 2011.

could not agree with you more, the mass media are fearmongers on covid, and fearmongers on saying if you don't agree with us, then your A. racist B. fascist. C. a threat to democracy. total theatre those dividers are, but what a performance, what a piece of music. just beautiful I listened to it three times in a row. I love the gentle harpsicord in baroque music. its so light and airy

Although I still think Marco Beasley OWNS this song, it was nice to see it tackled by Sorrell. Having said that, the Amanadas' approach was a bit incongruous to the sobering text, even campy at times - such as the "snake charmer" dance moves.

Beautiful music, indeed. Beautifully done! Ruined by the completely worthless Covid-panic stupidity on display between the singers and all over the musicians. Future generations will think we were all idiots. They'll not be wrong.
