Whenever I knock on relatives’ doors, I always say, “Landshark.” It’s been a joke in my family since these Landshark skits first aired. 😂😂😂

When I was a kid, Everytime someone knocked, Mom would say "candygram"..or she'd knock on my bedroom door "candygram" and laugh and laugh..

My dad did the same but he would say candy gram and then once I said what? Again then he'd say Landshark. Then die laughing. I never knew what it was from till my 20s but I always thought the voice he used was funny so I started doing it to him too. He laughed Everytime never got old to him

Used to sneak out of my bedroom to watch SNL - I was very young. This absolutely molded my sense of humor. I’m so glad that I didn’t take no for an answer. 🤣🤣🤣

It's the same person essentially, but different lifetimes, she keeps falling for it so she has to repeat it until she should have learned. What ends up happening instead, is God feels bad for her inability to see the malcontent in her world which prevents her from obtaining the foresight to know better. Lololol so he moved her to a deluxe apartment in the sky!!! Lol now she has to look out for sky sharks made of clouds.

I remember the SNL Landshark from the 70's. One of the silliest clips yet absurdly funny. I was so young back in the 70's when these first appeared! 4:21 When Gilda Radner heard the radio taken over by the landshark, I stupidly laughed. So strange now as an adult to know aspects of each actor's history.

Lorne Michaels was inspired by Monty Python’s Flying Circus, which were well known for their meta-endings. The initial SNL seasons were heavily influenced by them.

They should do a "Landshark 2020" where the landshark tries the same tricks only for someone to just look at their phone and say "You're the landshark." ...then the landshark goes behind a cardboard cutout.

Every Saturday night when in JHS I watch this with my mom. She absolutely loved the Landshark Candigram skits. Even some nights in the early 80's after my night at Macy's at Kings plaza was through we would laugh together. Great memories. RIP mom you left way too soon and too young.
