Wow! This is awesome! Our video of dad's Flame sucker runs fast, but without any load - to produce output from a flame sucker and run as this does, while looks so damn pretty! Amazing! Thank you for sharing your build

I'm glad you like it! This flame eater is "very" powerful, could drive 2-3 generators simultaneously. In this video the same engine drives an oil field pump, and a generator. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a82HrLli0suxkZ8.html

This is the most beautiful example I've ever seen. Literally I am speechless. I am a perfectionist, and this is an engine I would be proud to call my own, let alone be able to say I made. How many hours do you have in it?
@69MrSjani8 жыл бұрын
+Monel Funkawitz I'm glad you like it! This one was my first Lanz Bulldog engine, took me well over 250 hours to make it - I'm a perfectionist too when it is about engines!

The most attractive model I have ever seen and its great it can be shared. I would love to know how it works.
@69MrSjani8 жыл бұрын
+Val Martin I'm glad you like it! The operating principle is very simple, the hot air in the cylinder cools, a vacuum is created which moves the piston.

Maybe one day you could make another one that runs and sounds like a real hotbulb? Would be neat to do stuff like the zero rpm on a small scale. Look up Lanz Bulldog Ackerluft, the guy made a small fully functional one

Model building is a nice hobby and can be started at any time. The most important thing is to take the first step, because that is the only way to get far. You probably know this well, because it's true for everything ...

Beautiful... The generator and lighting really take it over the top. Are these kits you build yourself? And if so will you share a link on where you found them. Great work again.
@69MrSjani7 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment, there is no link or source where you could buy the kit. This engine is scratch built, I only bought the flywheels from Martin Models, the rest of the parts were done in my workshop. I'm attaching the link of the original stationary engine what gave me the idea: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l52Phat8zs6pZaM.html

You have to build your own engine, it is not available as a kit, or ready built model.

Awesome. Spectacularly beautiful. Too difficult for me. I'm doing a small motor vacuum easier. If it works I will be happy. This is the most beautiful I've seen. But I have a big doubt. I tried many websites and I think the Lanz Bulldog tractor engine is a real explosion of two times. Not operated by vacuum. Is it correct? Thanks. (sorry translator)
@69MrSjani8 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! The Lanz flame eater is not a simple engine, it needs many hours to complete it, and of course some experience as well. The real Lanz Bulldog tractor has a very simple two stroke hot bulb engine. Its greatness was its simplicity.

+Слава Карпов I've seen a KZfaq video about an old Lanz Bulldog stationary engine, and I built an (almost) similar flame eater engine on this idea. The cylinder, the piston, the valve system is similar to Big Nick flame eater from Bengs Modellbau, with some modifications. it'was a time consuming project, to make it similar to the original. Here is the video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l52Phat8zs6pZaM.html I hope this helps.
