@@stefanodallasen796vero, io sono stufa anche di esplosioni al testosterone, le gare a chi ha l’acuto più portentoso e più lungo ma che sul palcoscenico sembrano statue e si preoccupano solo di “cantare” le lascio agli intenditori, io non lo sono e giudico in base a quello che mi trasmette “l’interprete”. 😅

If you listen closely you can tell that he does have some ingolata which is when the back of the tongue pushes the larynx to low and you end up not during the full potential of your voice due to the lack of squillo because of the artificially darkened and swallowed sounding tone. It also makes it harder to have good power at the bottom of your range as well and at the top too. That is not to say just because someone has ingolata doesn’t mean that their voice is necessarily weak or not powerful or anything. It’s just that they’ve been training with the ingolata instead of using proper technique where you find that “sweet” spot where it’s the right balance of dark and bright. I know this because I’m training in opera and I switched back and forth between proper technique and ingolata just for fun to and the strength and power we’re still there but we’re severely muffled due to the back of the tongue lowering my larynx way to much and there was way less squillo as well.

If you want really great singing of this aria ,listen to Villazón or Domingo who bring to this a nobility that eludes Kaufmann completely,I'm sorry to say. Great high notes,though.
