My favourite conspiracy theory is that Lyssa is actually still in the human world.. But she is actually two people (in this theory that's also why her depictions have two faces). The two most powerful human mesmers we know: Countess Anise and Queen Jenna. It fits just well enough to kind of make sense, it's perfect xD Ignore all the glaring loopholes in the theory.

Mr E is a reference to Mister Ed, the talking horse. Tyria is secretly run by horses.

The mystery of what happened to Gwen was my absolute favorite thing about GW1. They make you so attached to this little girl during what is essentially the tutorial, throw your world upside-down with this historically devastating event, and Gwen is just... gone. It was heartbreaking! I remember when Eye of the North was announced and all the theories about it spelling GW:EN, I thought surely it was just a coincidence. They certainly played the long game! Well done, Arenanet. And with how often they put ancient GW1 references into GW2, I know better than to doubt even the wildest theories anymore!

In the Zephyrite Festival we see Captain Kiel ask EVON Gnashblade how he always seems to know everything before anyone else does. He responds dismissively that when you've been in the business as long as he has you learn a few things. EVON has an invested interest in keeping Queen Jennah in power since without her the treaties with the Charr and Lion's Arch fall apart (as do a lot of his business opportunities). Additionally Wild Eye Miller also makes a big deal about EVON knowing everything (suggesting that he and his secret twin are telepaths). Additionally additionally, there is a precedent for Charr to use their first initial in secert communiques. The Ash Legion Imperator, Malice Swordshadow uses the initial "M" to write secret comminuqes with Dragon's Watch during the story of Icebrood Saga. With EVON being monetarily and socially invested in keeping Queen Jennah in power and opposing the White Mantle, his already existing fame for knowing basically everything (existing intelligence network), and the Charr use of initials in secret messages I think it's pretty obvious who "E" is. :)

Okay, but what if E is actually Edrick the Bloody (one of the few Mister Es we actually meet in the game, who happens to have a connection to the Krytan monarchy, show up in the same season as E, and be shown to be a very strong spellcaster). What if they've pulled a full Megamind here and the prince is not actually vulnerable to candy corn, and we never actually trapped him again, but he brainwashed Jenna into thinking she was him and applied her appearance to himself and his appearance to her, so we actually trapped Jenna instead of Edrick, and Jenna has been stuck in the Realm of the Mad King since season 1 with false memories of daddy issues, while the real prince Thorn has been playing Jenna all along while also being the mysterious E, and the commander doesn't realise any of this even though the clues are all there if you just open your eyes! (Anyway, really good video as always, Lara! ^^ )

Mister E - Mystery. Omg this blew my mind!

Speaking on that last one, Guild Wars has some of the best Motifs I've ever heard in a game. Its a big unfair because I met my wife in presearing guild wars 1 even before nightfall came out but hearing some of these themes hits like a giant wave of nostalgia. We even slipped a guild wars song into the wedding and surprisingly a few people noticed. I love the guild wars music a lot. second only to Star Citizen right now in terms of epic themes

The Du Du Dum is not a coincidence, because is not just those 3 notes, are also the notes before that are repeated in the new music. Is common that the soundtrack for movies or games have "motifs" that play as basic music. This is why the Tengu has the same motif, even not all the notes are the same. The Du du dum has the same motif from the first trailer from the 2016 one.

The overlaying L and F to get an E is particularly impressive conspiracy crafting. An extra bit with Gwen that you missed was that there's some point during Nightfall where you're in the Underworld and meet a spirit named Sarah looking for her daughter, Gwen. It was hinted at that an NPC in Pre-Searing Ascalon named Sarah was Gwen's mother (though not explicitly confirmed), and players assumed that because the dead mother couldn't find the spirit of her daughter this meant that Gwen was in fact still alive somewhere. Sarah's identity was confirmed when EOTN was released and you could return to encounter her with Gwen in your party, triggering a reunion conversation. Following the last round of story updates (which included Gwen and Kieran Thackery's wedding) they even added a bit so you can go back with Kieran also in the party and have Gwen introduce her new husband to her.

Funny one! Really like it :) I am researching conspiracies in GW2 for my D&D Tyria campaign, there is so much left unanswered :D

Btw there are horses in Tyria. Or well at least one is in the game. Though it is Mad King Thorns invisible horse Mr. Gum Drops :D

To addd fuel to the Lord Faren is E conspiracy: At the end of Season 2 “Party Politics” Anise says, “…I did however receive a mysterious message signed only with the initial E. The note said that…. Reminding her of this will be enough to make her drop her lie faster than Faren’s dignity.” Both mentioned in same conversation.

Well, I came up with a theory that Goddess Lysa is actually here all along - disguised as Queen Jennah and countess Anise. And I'm still convinced that I'm onto something here

In the 2022 LS1 patch they removed the stone tower that Teqatl crashes into and destroys everytime they leave the water. It's just a permanent pile of rubble now. It's super bizarre. Idk if the system to rebuild it after the event broke and it's still there in fresh maps, or if it's just gone. Needs more investigating...

I don't know who composed the two trailers' music, but I think it could be possible that they played with the first trailer's music. :P

The trailer-music composition is an easter-egg or something like that. Maybe not officially confirmed by Anet, but its a fairly logical one in the mind of a composer. They are/were trying to build a franchise. E.g It would be weird if the Star Wars theme was completely different in a sequel, right? Nice find though. BTW what real world (conspiracy) THEORY is actually dangerous? I suppose critical mis/dis information could potentially be dangerous, but only really in possession of someone who isn't all there and only if they practice or acted upon it. Most of the conspiring happens in plain sight and is also known as making deals or business. Anyway, nice vid.

And, about horses, i think that they didnt put horses because WoW has horses as mounts. If in Tyria horses are present, it will be mandatory to use it as mounts (not skimmers, raptors, chacal, or others). Then, they prefered to use other mounts, but forgot to not mention horses on conversations or storyes.

My head canon is, that queen jenna is not a human or at least dosn't act in the interest of the humans. Like she is a bad ruler, her only advances are one in her glory, orders exectutions without a trail, let's ppl get killed she deemd useless, has a personal murder cult, and so on ... BUT every citizen likes her. no, adores her. on an absolutly creepy level. yeah she defently useses her mesmer magic to control the citizens. and her magic is far beyond what any other human has achived (on their own).

Jeremy Soule is known to recycle a lot of his works. So no surprise that some music sounds similar. For example the TES 3 Morrowind theme and the Guild Wars Prophecies theme sound exactly the same if you listen closely.

She is not crazy about the HoT and original trailer, they are built on the same motif. It is like Beethoven's 5th Symphony, the first and third part sound different but they use the same tonal cadence and rhythm just different keys and tempo, with a few of the notes inverted. For a more modern example, Final Fantasy 6 did a similar thing with each character. The opera scene is just Celes's theme song slightly changed

Okay so I have some headcanon that's probably riddled with flaws but I really like it anyway. Obligatory spoiler warning here. So I think the Pale Tree is not what she appears to be. I suspect she is a string pulling mastermind that is manipulating the Commander into doing her bidding. The Pale Tree, and by extension the Sylvari, were meant to be Mordremoth's minions. I think the Pale Tree was intended to take on a General role in Mordremoth's army and by virtue of that fact was privy to his plans. Plans including killing Zhaitan to get his magic. As we know kill an Elder Dragon and its magic is distributed to the other Elder Dragons in an all you can eat, first come first serve fashion. So the Pale Tree manipulates the Commander into killing Zhaitan for Mordremoth but little does the jungle dragon know that his plans have been commandeered by the Pale Tree for the greater good. I don't think she's evil or power hungry, but I don't think she's as innocent and goodie goodie as she appears. This is however all in my head having not played EOD yet. I am hoping that this isn't all blown out of the water when I finally can afford to get the new expansion.

There are no horses in GW2 because charrs wanted to eat them and humans too, so then the horses decided to become centaurs and fight back. i know because I saw them :)
