Large, damaging hail reported in Denver metro

FOX31's Greg Nieto called the station from a Conoco off Highway 85 where a number of people were taking shelter from heavy, damaging hail that had cracked Nieto's windshield, among other damage.

Too bad I can’t post the pic I took of the hail the struck in northern Aurora, between qtr and pingpong sized, it was so loud! Very quick moving, let’s hope it didn’t break my car windows or anything 😮

@@thomasyunick3726 I thought my eyes were glitching. I’m on the west side of town past the Dakota Ridge and the entire sky kept lighting up every second. It was very strange lightning. It was flashing every second or two. It was not normal.

It’s normal this time of year. My grandmother moved from Texas when she was 6 yrs old and she talked about the golf size hail they used to get. She moved to California with her family at 6 yrs of age in 1926 and said she would never move to Texas.
