genial, ahora solo me falta toda la maquinaria para arreglar mi pantalla (sarcasmo) great, now I just need all the machinery to fix my screen (sarcasm)

Fascinating to see how much work goes into fixing these little film cables/tab ic cof. Seeing so many LCD TV's are failing because of these laminated ribbon/film cables, it makes you wonder why manufacturers still make them like this, is there no alternative? Can't they machine solder ribbon cables on instead of sticking them on with heat and conductive adhesive strips? Or is it that the IC Chips in the film itself that's coming off? Seems a lot of expensive TVs are being thrown away because of this method. Although, it would be interesting to know why they're coming off in the first place as i'm guessing LCD TVs have always used this method at least on the LCD side (maybe not the board side) as you can't solder onto glass like material yet many really old LCD TVs still work fine. Hopefully OLED TV's will get rid of this problem once and for all, although, i imagine new problems will just surface with that technology.
