Adam learned how to play the drums so he could be more authentic. There's a reactor who is a professional drummer (Drumming With Jarvis), and he says that Adam is great because he doesn't do things a real drummer wouldn't do. The drum sounds he makes are totally appropriate for the placement in the song.

Hi Chris, I am looking at some of the comments and expected to see you being bombarded with requests for Adam Rupp's drum solo. Please check it out. The one where he wears the red plaid shirt is epic. Your mind will be blown for sure

@@annelieshoornik That one is quite old. While it is mind-blowing, it doesn't really show his current level of skill. There are several posted from December 2021 that are just amazing. Like, I saw them in August 2021, and four months later Adam is even better. So I'd recommend you check out a couple -- the older one and then a newer one.

I love how Home Free has no lead singer but knows exactly who should take a lead in each song. I don't listen to country music but I absolutely love Home Free. Sometimes a but of a twang might come out every once in awhile. In Brothers in Arms there was no twang at all. On the whole Home Free doesn't do covers of songs....they do enhancements.

I love your reactions to Home Free. I have to say, I never believed that I could like an a cappella group until I gave in and listened to HF “Man of Constant Sorrow”. I never thought that I could love a band without instruments. I’ve never looked back, over 3 years now. I love them because they are a vocal band…you’d swear you were hearing a record. They evoke a heart and soul response in me. I know Christmas has gone by, but there is a hidden gem by them from 2013 at the Hosanna concert doing their version of “Joy to the World “.(all is in the video title). It’s Rob at his gospel best, with a beatbox breakdown…a jazzy, R&B feel, and it’s amazing!

Love this song, this was my first song I heard from Home Free in January 2021. I was hooked ever since. I love PTX too, but HF is my #1. Austin was made for this song.Austin has is own channel and on it he has some classics like Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton, Unchained Melody, Put Your Head on My Shoulder and more. He did many of these during the pandemic. Austin and Tim have a great time together, they did a cover of My Maria which was made famous by Brooks and Dunn a country duet. In this song you can hear Tim’s upper register. You might really enjoy that one also. I love listening to your reactions, keep it up. Thank you. 🎼🎶🦋🎵

The song's writer had a bad break-up and Percy Sledge sings "I gave you everything I had"; Austin's lady Amberly was in the studio when this was filmed, he sings "I'll give you everything I've got". If you haven't seen the "Stargazer Trilogy" (which he wrote for her) - it's simply terrific.

talking about the percussion.... Whenever our choir sings and has musical instruments to accompany us, it is hard to make it gel as the sounds need to be balanced. The fact that Adam is a beat boxer, makes that they do not have that problem. He is never too loud or over bearing. It is perfect. That is part of what I love about Home free, part of what makes them so amazing.

Each one of them has an amazing voice and can sing lead but put them together in harmony and something magical happens. Home Free is the perfect blend off vocals, harmonies, percussion and personalities. No divas, an ever changing lead vocal, that is always perfect for every song. Adam's percussion is perfect, and that bass (both Tim & Chance are oustanding on that). So far, they have never failded a song, and I think it's because of theire true democracy.
