I've been thinking that no one else was really doing much with lights (and I want to start putting Arduinos into my builds), and here you are killing it! Well done! :)

@@OchoMiniatures In that case I look forward to a live stream one day and we get to here the pitch you can reach.🤪

Simply amazing. I don't know if we'll ever get the chance, but I'd be honored to have my Chaos Knights blown up by your Imperial Knights at Weystone. Just don't expect lights, sound or even a particularly good paint job.

You may never get the chance……because my dice may not let me lol!

Love this project! Can you make the sequence more like, the plasma chamber is getting brighter and than turning off and the front LED is making like a flash? Like a loading sequence and then the shooting. Overall, you're doing a really great job! It can only be a matter of time until you get those Titans walking on the table 😄👍🏼

The video doesn’t really show the changing light very well it’s just so sensitive to light but it currently pulses up and down then on fire it ramps up to full brightness then flashes the front LED then fades back down to the pulse level. With the code you can really do anything you want

Omg. At 0:50, the way you move the plasma coils on that LED so that certain "bands" are lit up more than others? HOW cool would it be to somehow control a strip of LEDs down the length of those coils, one LED to a band, to sort of send a very controlled "pulse" down the barrel? Of course, that does sound needlessly complicated... but I'm sure you'd be able to find a way!

Actually totally doable and was something I was thinking about by using individually addressable LEDs like the neopixle but decided not too because it’s extra code work for not much extra effect. Most people don’t even notice that it pulses or gets brighter when it fires

@@OchoMiniatures Totally understandable, I appreciate the insight! And wow, just checked out those neopixels, and they look cool! Didn't expect to see some overlap with lightsaber LED tech, but it kinda makes sense!

@@SeanStClair-cr9jl actually I looked into how lightsabers defuse light to try and solve the 360 digress problem but it didn’t really work at such a small scale. If I were to do this again I would use the “noods” from adafruit they just got in it’s an LED cob coated in phosphorus to get that 360 glow
