Just the final approach and smooth landing of an Eurowings Airbus A320 on runway 03R at Las Palmas Airport on Gran Canaria Island, Spain. Cockpit, pilots,, PFD (primary flight display) and ND (navigation display) view. With cockpit audio. Captain is pilot flying and First Officer pilot monitoring. ATC (air traffic control) callsign is Eurowings 2 VK (Eurowings Two Victor Kilo). Commercial flight number: Eurowings 9542. Airbus A320. Airplane registration: D-AEWU. Produced with 6 cameras in 4k quality.

Great flight, I couldn’t agree more with the controller being a little impatient. At such a critical phase of flight, apart from touchdown itself there is still a lot going on. She should have waited until you were approximately 40 knots before issuing further instructions as training may have impressed upon her? Love the videos Captain and CoPilot! More please! 👍👍👍

Mittwoch fliege ich für ne Woche zum ersten dorthin. Habe grad gesehen das es dort auch sehr windig sein kann. Gefällt mir. 😊Schönes Video. Fliege von Köln, also leider wieder keine Chance euch als Piloten zu haben. Irgendwann klappts bestimmt mal. Einen guten Wochenstart wünsche ich euch. Ach ja, Minima, kommt da schon sehr früh kann das sein?

Ab und zu fliege ich auch ab Köln. Aber nicht am Mittwoch. Irgendwann klappt es bestimmt mal. Der Anflug ist ein Localizer Approach 03L sidestep 03R. Deshalb ist das Miniumum so hoch. Normalerweiser würde man spätestens am Minumum nach Sicht von der 03L zur 03R wegdrehen. Wir sind das dann als Visual Approach geflogen. @@ApproachandDepartureVideos Hallo ich nochmal.Habe ne Frage zu meiner Landung auf Las Palmas, habe ich so noch nie erlebt.Und zwar als der Pilot mit den Hinterrädern aufgesetzt hat, ist er schon so krass auf die Bremse getreten, bevor das Vorderrad überhaupt aufgesetzt hat. Wären wir nicht angeschnallt gewesen, hätten wir glaub ich alle im Cockpit gelegen.😅😅😅 Kannst mir doch bestimmt den Hintergrund erklären oder.

@@SuperVerpeilt Danke für die Frage. Aber über Landungen von anderen Kolleginnen und Kollegen möchte ich mir kein Urteil erlauben. Für eine Bewertung müsste ich alle Details kennen, die nur die Crew kennt, die die Landung durchgeführt hat. Grundsätzlich kann man sagen, dass es erlaubt ist, sobald das Hautpfahrwerk aufgesetzt ist, die Reverser zu öffnen und auch zu bremsen. Das Bugrad muss dazu noch nicht aufgesetzt sein. Wie stark gebremst wird, hängt immer von allen möglichen Dingen ab. Starkes Bremsen kann erforderlich werden, wenn man bei der Landung etwas weit in die Bahn geschwebt ist oder falls man einen bestimmten Abrollweg nehmen möchte, um die Rollzeit zu verkürzen oder weil vielleicht der nächste Abrollweg geschlossen ist. Manchmal bittet auch ATC darum, die Bahn schnell zu verlassen, weil der nächste bereits dicht hinterher fliegt. Das sind nur ein paar Beispiele.

Love your videos and have learnt so much from how you fly the aircraft. what is the reason many pilots say their callsign before the message rather than at the end?

Reading the callsign first gives the pilot flying the chance to dial in the new speed, heading or altitude in the autoflight system. Then the pilot monitoring can read back whatever the instruments show instead of just reading back the message from ATC. This makes sure that the crew acts exactly as instructed.

Very nice landing. Was the reason the horizontal magenta dimond was shifting, because the station was 03L's

This is correct. Indication was for 03L, but we landed on 03R.

How do you utilise the Elapsed Timer? Off block to on block or takeoff to landing?

Thanks for watching, your support as a channel member and your question! The 3 minutes are required for cooldown of the engines. Visual approach allowed you to come in at whatever approach you like and not have to fly miles away from the airport to turn back in

There is no ILS installed at our landing runway 03R. Approach would have been localizer 03L with swingover 03R. The visual approach made it a little easier for us. So we could swingover directly instead of at the minumim descent altitude. Please watch the video of the full approach. It includes the approach charts and shows more details about what exactly happened.

I am curious because I am from Gran Canaria, and my question is why you call it Las Palmas... When the Airport is in two municipalities far from Las Palmas Capital... Here older people call it Las Palmas Airport because it was the only one Eastern Province Airport. But we young people call it Gran Canaria Airport because it is in Gran Canaria or Gando Airport on the Gando Peninsula, which is where the Airport is actually located. I have never understood why tourists call everything from Gran Canaria Las Palmas, no matter how bad those of us from Gran Canaria feel. It's like Holland and the Netherlands seem the same but they are not the same. The same thing happens here. 🤔
