The promo before this match said it all. Darby didn't say a damn thing but the sheer glee on his face as he stood beside Sting and Flair cutting a promo is where I saw Darby the wrestling fan because how TF can you not understand the honor he's gotten

I’m sorry bro. The people that got u into wrestling have the 5 Moves of doom and are overrated af. Ric: eye poke, chop, knee on grounded opponent, chopblock, figure 4. Sting: stinger splash, scoop slam, scorpion death drop, scorpion leg lock.

This has been a very disappointing end to stings career. these matches are mediocre. He’s fit enough for some singles matches, not these god damn tag matches. give sting some good opponents like bryan danielson etc, people who can bump for him and are him look good. he’s stuck with a group of boring mediocre wrestlers. Hell, darby vs sting would be awesome.

And the SECOND he was done with that, he was as far away from him and Sting as humanly possible During that promo segment later, he just looked like he did NOT wanna be there. Just so antsy and clearly uncomfortable. I can't blame him, I'm sure a straight edge like Darby doesn't wanna be associated with an unapologetic alcoholic/sexual assailant like Ric.

@@knightshousegames Sting looked at Darby like "who in the hell are you to not pay respect to Ric Flair". I also seen how Sting and Ric Flair somewhat distance themselves from Darby during their after match promo.

@@Mr.Majestic77 I think Darby respects Sting a lot, and thats the only reason he's there at all, because he knows how important all of this is to him. Obviously Ric is important to Sting, and Sting is important to Darby, so Darby is going to be there, and just try his best not to interact with the creepy old guy if he can. You could see Darby was playing off of Sting a little bit and trying to pretend Ric wasn;t there. Ric obviously couldn't play off anything Darby was doing, so he gravitated towards Sting, and Sting took the spotlight, I don't think it was purposeful distancing, at least on Sting's part. Of course, we could just be being worked and this is all part of the setup for the Revolution match, but with AEW, usually when there is obvious awkwardness like this, we've learned that usually isn't a work.

I think you guys are reaching way too deep into that. Darby is straight business when he heads to the ring, always has been. Dude had his game face on and probably didn't expect to be dapped up by Ric Flair lol he was also about to get his ass whooped so there that too 😂
