No need to apologise for any sound issues, most of us viewers are just grateful that people like yourself are out there putting in the time and effort with filming and editing to bring us the information on the bikes that we otherwise wouldn’t have! My question is going back to the one bike does all theme. As I mentioned before I have been seriously considering one of these but I’ve had a spanner thrown in the works in the shape of a nearly new (1000 mile old) Yamaha mt10 with all the touring kit/heated grips and lots of extras for roughly the same money. I’m yet to test ride it but is appreciate your opinion regarding riding thrills and all round ability. Great job with the review 👍🏻

Thanks Simon 🙏 so on both bikes, you know I love my MT10SP 😂 the MT10 is not great for touring in my opinion as not as comfortable as the tiger, and 245 miles to a tank on the Triumph compared with 100 miles on the mt10! If I was given both test back to back I would pick the Tiger. Worth test ride both though if you can 👍 both bikes are good though

While I can't disagree with Nick's assesment of the Triumph, I think the comfort of the MT10 will depend on the size and build of the rider. I bought an MT10 last year and have done 7300 mls on it, including a 2200 ml trip to Scotland. I have the standard seat and have no issues whatever with the comfort seat. I am 6' and 79 kg. In my opinion, cruise control is almost essential, and a quick shifter is nice too - both of which are standard on the MT. I use Hepco&Becker C-Bow Paniers which are fine for solo touring, and are nice and slim, allowing trouble free flitering. The 850 Sport is a great bike and good vfm however, so I guess it depends how much you need the more sophisticated tech.

Agree too with you David, the MT10 is a good bike, both bikes are upright, the Tiger takes it on distance with comfier seat and gas mileage to a tank. If i were to get a tiger it would have to be the 900 GT Pro to have all the gizmo’s though. Difficult to compare bikes as one is adventure and 10 is sportier bike with 65 more BHP and more torque. As you are aware the MT10SP is my main do it all bike and i know from a week riding the tiger could be too. All depends what you want from a bike. My MT10SP is a non seller if that answers anything 👍

Watched at least dozen reviews, your the only one who noted 9:06 a power outlet which is important. Every review is mostly complementary on 850 Sport, looking forward to test ride and hoping my local Dlr in Brea, Ca. will be reasonable on pricing without adding "artificial mark ups" beyond MSRP. Nice review.

Its worth noting that the screen display type can be changed via the menu from its default setting to a much clearer setting to see rev counter etc. Also can be set to 'night mode' (white on black) which is also easier to see on a bright day.

Enjoyed watching your vids on the 850 sport this week as I have 1 on order and also live in Lancashire so recognise the places you've been testing it. The suspension seems spot on so not bothered by lack of adjustment. Once set right I find you hardly ever mess with it again anyway. The smaller dash doesn't bother me either. I wish everyone didn't point out the lack of cruise control though as despite having never had it on any bike I've owned it keeps making me feel like it's missing something there! Not prepared to pay another £2k though to get it. Although I can't make my mind up on whether to pay the extra £350 for the quick shifter. 🤔

Hi H W, so the clutch lever is super light, I’ve not tried but I know someone who had the quickshifter and said it was one of the best he’s tested. 👍

How well does the screen protector reduces the glare. Have u got and before/after video?

Hi, Yes the anti glare screen protectors work as had it on the tiger for the whole of our EU trip through Switzerland, not got before or after but you can see here at 5:24 mins on this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mdVjopmE1aeYf6M.html
