It was. Blue skies would've made it even better, but there was something really special about it all being gray-ish.

I got my last paddle a littlebit of time ago, about a month or so I think. The ice is on here now. I wish you a wonderfull winter

Happy winter to you as well! Last paddles are always bittersweet - but hopefully we'll get the weather this winter to get out on the ice!

Yikes! Isn't the bottom of the boat cold? I've done a lot of fishing in AK and my feet always get cold - probably not the right boots I would say, eh?

By the end of the trip it did get hella-cold for sure. But the foam lining inside the Sportspal definitely cuts the chill, and I was wearing thick wool socks inside my waders, which are also lined.. so tolerable I guess - but for sure the cold crept into my bones 😂 was still shivering later that night.
