Calm down, people. I've watched a lot of actors being interviewed and there are always some similarities in personality and voice to their character. What Woken was saying is she has absolutely none. This is abnormal for actors to be THIS different from their characters. Yes, it is a testament to her acting skills, but that does not change the fact that she is abnormally different.

Her skin is so, so beautiful. She’s an extremely talented, extremely beautiful natural raven haired, hazel eyed waif with glowing, silky porcelain skin. She reminds me a lot of a friend I had in high school and they look almost identical. Ironically, her name was Jessica 😂🤣Ritter is this generations Wynona Rider. In fact, my friend Jessica’s nickname in high school was “Beetlejuice” 😂 if you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’re to young for this comment 😂🤣

I want to apologize to Krysten Ritter because I had negative thoughts about the way she portrayed Jessica Jones in season 1 on the way she was rude/disrespectful to all the other characters of the show, even if they were the good guys. Season 2 and 3 cleared my negative thinking, the rudeness of Jessica Jones was toned down and also were directed more towards the bad guys. Thank you Ms. Ritter for making Jessica Jones more likable character in latter seasons.

I really have to disagree with the notion that Jessica is this great Feminist icon. To me, she's more like Ellen Ripley in that she's living from moment to moment trying to will herself to be strong. I don't see this great iconic thing people are trying to stamp on her. Using that anology, then Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock is this great iconic role for blind people. Mike Colter as Luke Cage is this great iconic role for the African American people and Finn Jones as Danny Rand is somehow this great iconic role for kids who have been lost for ten years in the mountains of Tibet. The whole notion of Feminism has been hijacked by this hyper-verbal elite who think they can set the agenda of who is worthy of the label.

karthu1993 I don't *think* they're saying it as a bad thing. But I get both points. It feels like every female lead role nowadays is being labeled as "feminist." I think that more people are just writing stronger female characters. Not to mention, Jessica wasn't saved by a relationship like how most stories show. She was stopping an abuser from continuing to abuse others. She didn't have nAmE bRaNd clothing and HIGH heels! She wasn't over emotional and was more like "masculine hard ass keeps emotions to themselves". She wasn't "one of the boys" either. She was super neutral and strong which is why she's idolized and considered a feminist.

@@hlf3769 No I don't mean her gender doesn't define her as a person. I mean that feminism gets thrown at her Jessica Jones role by feminists. Or a save the environment hero.

@@hlf3769 Yeah, but I don't see your point. Feminism is a political movement. It's about making statements and being an activst and talking about women's rights in society at large. Abusive relationships is just that. It's got nothing to do with sex.. Parents abuse their children. Females abuse their boyfriends. Men abuse their girlfriends. Doctors abuse patients. People abuse animals. Etc. Jessica Jones is a hero who happens to have been abused by a psycho who abused everyone. He was a mysogynist yes, but he was also an everything'ist. And that's the story.
