One can truly feel the depth of emotion from their rendition which had me crying the fist time I heard it and even up to now. When they held a concert in my country for the first time, fans went wild when they sang a popular local song at the time! Anway, this 9-member group also release tracks in Mandarin and Japanese. The member playing the guitar can play multiple instruments. I think the emotional aspect hits your heart because they had the presence of thoughtfulness towards their Mexican fans...it makes you feel that they cared enough to do a song that resonates with the fans...now that's love. Except for Chen, they are all actors and models. But they love to sing most of all. Even the lead dancers and rappers are singers. I feel because they have been performing for 10 years, they are now seasoned performers. They started out being picked for their talents while still in school and grew up together in front of the cameras. They are the most popular and beloved Kpop group in the world...and came out before Bts and many other groups of today. They acquired a massive fandom worldwide starting in 2013, regardless of singing in Korean or Chinese. Their popularity exploded in 2013, when Bts debuted. But Bts crossed over to promote heavily in the US recently in 2018, but are just as hard working as all kpop groups, which made them successful as they are today. But Exo started touring the world and back, including the States, starting back in 2013, so today they are a household name. They were never heavily promoted in the West back then when they became overnight superstars...it might not have been as acceptable for any asian artists back then as it is now. That was a different time. But regardless, Exo captured the hearts of millions of people around the world from then to now, generating the massive fandom they have today. Exo are SINGERS...and do alot of slower pop/love songs, r&b, and groove/old school vibes, they just want to sing. And the fandom loves them for their vocals. The same way I love Bts and other kpop groups...it's for their particular sound and style...and they are all different from each other musically. That's the attraction of kpop, it's very entertaining and full of undeniable talent and variety. And when you get tired of the same standard Western music...kpop wakes up your senses and draws you in...the talent and production they put into their music and videos are different, new and inviting. That's why as an American, I've turned away from Western music, except for a handful of favorites, and fell into the Kpop world for the past 14 years. This was already one of my favorite songs having heard it when Luis Miguel did an album of boleros. I started listening to kpop fairly recently and was a little skeptical when I saw it in EXO’s discography. I mean could it be as good as “El Sol de Mexico”? I already knew they had beautiful voices, but Korean is so different from Spanish and great voices don’t make up for sloppy pronunciation. The opening guitar was amazing! Then DO started to sing and one by one the 4 of them performed. The emotion in their voices was captivating! It was beautiful from beginning to end. They also, as a group, sing in Japanese and Chinese. I’ve heard the guitarist ,Chanyeol sing in German and all the members sing well in English. Their hard work and attention to detail shows in this and each of their performances.

Everyone is in their mid 20's to 30's now of the 9 members. The first guy on the left is the highest paid member Baehyun born 92. Next to him is the leader of Exo, Suho being the second oldest (91) in the group. D.O is the one in the middle (93), he is known for his smooth vocals and a top actor. Last person with the guitar is Chanyeol, known for being a mad man with multiple instruments. Also an actor, born 92. He is serving in the military right now.
