When crop dusting, while Spraying you have to get your wheels right at the top of the crop plant 9:25 That way the Vortex created by the wingtips going through the air so quick ( like a horizontal tornado 🌪) will cause all the Spray to flip around under all of the leaves as well as the top and sides of everything, giving the Farmer 👩‍🌾 the very Best BANG for his money 💰

I am an older man now in my life and remember how farming was in late 1958 in northeastern Ohio on dairy and Turkey farms but nothing like the operation of your Families Farming in your state of Nebraska. I worked in Radio systems earlier in my Electronics experience in Police and Fire Dept and Large local County Trunking both 450Mhz and 850Mhz systems after leaving the Telephone company after 37 years. Nice to see your family using Two-Way Radio systems and the Scata remotes for your Pivots. Nice use of tech to manage a Large Farm and people. Just getting into both your and your dad's KZfaq channels. Thanks for a trip down memory lane as to how far we have moved forward but still have some of the same old problems even today with equipment and breakdown of them.

Keep the big smiles coming our way! Already over 3 Million views for your channel!

Super exciting that the truck is running! It is the best feeling when you drive it down the road for the first time! Keep being you. You’re awesome!

The old Ford reminds of the pickup my brother had in high school. It was a 75 F150 and he had it lifted up with 38" mudders and chrome rims and roll bar. It had headers and 12" glass packs and was really loud.

Like the video of the crop duster. In decades gone by, many of them were converted Stearman bi-planes. If you ever get a chance to ride in the front seat of a Stearman, don’t pass it up. Open cockpit is real flying.

On the west coast the planes are crop dusters. When I was a kid I would stand at the end of the row waving a flag so the pilot could line up for his next pass. I usually got sprayed along with the crop.

That's awesome that you caught a spray plane doing its thing! Back in the '60s my great uncle was a crop duster and my mom her sisters and cousins would work as "flaggers", marking the start and end of each run for him with big flags so he could line up passes (no GPS back then!)

Over here in Australia farmers sometimes hire a contractor to spray the paddocks using Helicopters. It's awesome watching them, some pilots turn on the end by pulling straight up vertical, spin around and dive straight back down to line up with the next run, doing it that way saves a lot of time turning around. I just saw one yesterday from the hi-way. There was 2 guys doing trials in my area about 4 years ago and they had a drone helicopter it cost about $100,000 AUD and could carry about 200 liters of chemical.

y'all in that old truck was great. We had an old dog like that when I was a kid. My brother and I used to take it out and run around the dirt and gravel roads out in row crop country in Louisiana. Good times. Grant working the throttle reminded me of my brother since he used to do that as well. Gonna have to take a trip back home and go run some dirt roads now. Cheers!

truck sounds like it running - new a farmer once use have the dirty truck too - didn't care how it looked - long as he had a new engine in it - well it was for working - it don't have to be pretty - it got to work - the reason for the new engine is the dirt that gets in oil [ tar ] should of had a mini oil refinery on farm to recycle old oil and a-lot of filters - that's why electric motors are so nice

love watching yr vids i,m flying back home to New Zealand next week so as u where talking about crop spraying i thought i would give this little bit of history on crop spraying also yr farm or station is bigger than my country Aerial Seed Sowing 1906 The first known aerial application of agricultural materials was by John Chaytor, who in 1906 spread seed over a swamped valley floor in Wairoa, New Zealand, using a hot air balloon with mobile tethers. Aerial sowing of seed still continues to this day with cover crop applications and rice planting.
