Your home looks so pretty! I like that you made the crackers yourself. I think it is so special when someone has made something as a gift instead of everything being store bought. I feel they are giving me a little bit of themselves that way. Congratulations and thank you for sharing this with us!

I like the idea of using fabric to create Christmas crackers. But to avoid all the sewing, you could use cloth napkins. They can either be plain or sprinkled with gold thread or even a print. Just a thought.

A little tip I came a cross - to ensure your are cutting a tube 'square', take a piece of paper with a straight edge, and wrap it around the tube till it overlaps itself, then adjust it until it perfectly lines up with itself, then you can draw the line and you will have a perfectly squared off tube. Also good for cutting timber dowels for bunk ladders, etc.

The dining room is by far my favourite room in the house because of the dark colour on the walls. Always so festive, moody or cozy. What a lovely Christmas space! Thankfully you mentioned the crackers don't pop. Me, a stupid foreigner who has 0 % experience in British Christmas customs outside the Internet/TV, thought that was the whole point. Spent a good portion of the video worried how it's gonna work with fabric. 😅

Everything looks so beautiful!!!😍 I have a suggestion for the area with the 2 chairs with the wreath above them…..I suggest a pretty arched mirror, with your wreath hanging on the mirror (it would also reflect the natural light of the outdoors). Again great job, it’s so pretty!

beautiful! Until you mentioned that the candles on the mantel were battery operated, I was feeling very nervous that they were too close to the greenery! Wow they look so real, very nice. x

You could always make little pouches for other gifts and add to place settings? I think your cracker cloth wraps would make lovely tray cloths or table centres afterwards. Very clever and bespoke crackers x

Love this so much - wish I was held as creative. Something you could consider for next year is mailing tubes? You can get them in a wider width than wrapping paper roll or loo roll.

Hope your eye gets better soon. Go to your local pharmacy and ask for Brolene ointment. Dining Room is beautiful. Tree and garland are beautiful even though they're a bit pricey.

I don't know how to put this in all of the right words but basically, Your dining room is my dream Christmas dining room! I love how it's both cozy and fancy and propper without being too propper. Ah, it's just so beautiful! You did an incredible job and I'm absolutely jealous and wish I could see it in person. Also a bit of a side note, I love your home and all of the character it brings and can't wait for, one day a full house tour when it's all complete. (more or less!)
