Take those girls swimming and for an adventure. At laural falls, scamper up the river right side, your left. You will come to a small trail going off to the right and the top of the falls. If you follow the trail along the river, you will see a river wide, 5' water fall (ledge). At this point the trail veers off to the left away from the river. After 75 yards, the trail intersects the river. From the edge of the creek, on your left side is a water slide. The water makes a 90 turn, thru rock which has been smoothed out over the years. Check the bottom for sticks or logs. Rock hop up the middle of the creek and there is a large pool leading to the slide. I use to go there every other weekend during the summer. Even my lab would go down the slide.

Yeah we will have to do this hike again at some point the waterfall is beautiful and the whole place is teeming with fun places to explore.

if you went the other way its so much better besides the stairs

Yeah we learned that later but we did love the way we went it was a very adventurous trail.
