This interview has so much Gilmore energy. I kind of feel like she did this still in character. In my head, I'm just imagining a storyline where Lorelei would be on Conans Show and this is exactly how it would look like. He can barely keep up with her pace.

The monkey lamp came from when Emily can to Lorelei‘s house, to get stuff for Richards mom coming back to town and she wondered where the candles were and Lorelai said that she traded the candles for the monkey lamp.

Richards mother was the poodle statutes. When Emily had to get all the gifts from Richards mother out before her surprise visit. Emily gave crystal candles to Lorelai for a holiday. And Lorelai being lorelai traded it for the purple monkey lamp.

GG was one of those afternoon shows I happened to catch on E4 in the UK about 10 + years ago, it was played weekdays so entire seasons were over within weeks. I caught it midway through season 3 or 4 from memory. Great show.

Fun fact, she drank so much while shooting by the time she had to drink coffee scenes it was usuly water because she had already had several cups 😂

@@acaciakuebler6566 Actually, the to go cups were always simply empty... and she hardly ever actually drank out of the mugs at Luke's on screen. It was never actually coffee in the mugs though. That doesn't have anything to do with how much coffee she drinks in real life. That's just how it's always done.

I love that whenever the gilmore girls appear at conans show they endorse a food establishment. For Alexis, it was Wendy's, and Graham is Dunkin Donuts. They are really like their characters in real life 😂

Great interview! After watching Gilmore Girls (thanks to Netflix showing the whole series), I was looking for some souvenirs (like the coffee mugs, monkey lamp, and decors in the show) . Love Lorelai and the show. Hope she rewatches her own show one day. 😂

Just started binge watching Gilmore girls. We had lots of little kids in the 2000s and didn’t watch much tv. 8 knew about it and had seen some episodes so knew the premise. She’s delightful. It’s delightful. I love it and wish I could live in their little world of Stars hollow. Lauren Graham was great in parenthood too. More serious role. I watched every episode. They don’t make tv like that anymore!

My hair stylist and I watch it over and over and daily (not with each other 😂.) Any questions, she can just ask us! 😁❤️ (monkey lamp was a tacky lamp Lorelai exchanged for crystal candle holders Emily got her. Emily was trying to find them when Lorelai hurt her back making Rory’s dress & demanded to stay and take care of her…anyway) Lorelai was saying during drinks before Friday night dinner that Oy was a funny word. And so is poodle(s) If you put them in a sentence together, you’d have a funny catch phrase like when you’re fed up…”Oy with the poodles already.” 🤓
