The Marines at least did not prioritize WB over the level 6 criminals ... those criminals escaped because of Luffy coming to Ace's rescue at Impel Down , and of course Blackbeard using the opportunity , while they were prepping his execution . Their escape is an after the fact discovery , not much to do about it then

Blackbeard didn't come to Impel Down bcuz of Luffy. He defeated Ace and gave Ace to Navy exchange of becoming Shichibukai. Ony reaso to become Shichibukai was to enter Impel Down without hindrance. And he knew WB would come for Ace and war would happend. If war happens all strong forces would be busy with WB. So he would not have hard time in Impel Down BB literally planned all these to free those criminals and get more crew

Pirate characters in one piece understand that they're a "bad person", so they see other pirates a "bad person" too, even Kidd said Luffy is "crazy" and its not in a good way Apoo said something like that about Law because he's a pirate with big bounty and bad rumors, there's no way he's helping someone without a reason, everyone is a rival, so they watch each other moves

Big Mam made my ears perk up the first time I saw this one. We finally get the name of the fourth Emperor of the Sea. I guess your theory about who Big Mam is makes sense given what we know thus far. Lola's a pretty big lady, she mentioned her mother being in or from the New World (and a big deal no less), and it figures that her mother would be large of stature as well. That's assuming that Big Mam is actually Ma'am or Mom and not just some hulking fellow whose full name starts with M-A-M. Could even be that "big" is more of that he's a 'big deal' and actually a smaller guy like the old looney tunes cartoons with the gangster named Rocky who has all these gorilla sized henchmen working for him 😆 You really never know with Oda. Doflamingo is still a very enigmatic character. For some reason the World Government trusts him with a task like this even though he's a pirate, as all the Warlords are. When we find out a little bit about what's going on there, we also get something important about another character in this episode that we didn't even know we wanted to know, but it's awesome. This series just keeps on giving, like your daily videos do. Thanks for doing them, JDanime!

The reason for "Big Mam" is simpler than you think: the transliteration of Big Mom is spelled "Mam" in Katakana, because that's the vowel sound in Japanese. So when they were making the subtitles, they autopiloted past "mam" as close enough to a proper English word without stopping and realizing "oh wait, that's probably 'mom'." It gets fixed later on.

Im just glad the war ended because I did NOT wanna see shanks and his whole crew dead right after I saw ace and whitebeard. I'm glad he has some secret going on with the government and didn't just ignorantly try to fight 3 admirals at once with only his crew.

@@syn5322 of course I do, its a whole other emperor crew and his crew is the most balanced. So that means Ben beckman is stronger than other yonko commanders for example. But nobody can take on what the world government had there, not even prime rocks pirates. Do you remember when garp said that the navy + shibukai are equal to the 4 yonkos + their allies? It makes sense. Basically every admiral is like the yonko and then you have the commanders as vice admirals, then you have mihawk leading the shibukai with the other shibukai as commanders.

Also not all Shicibukai will stand against him, Mihawk for example, and im sure Doflamingo will walk away too because he will not fight someone that out of his league, like he walk away from Aokiji at Punk Hazard. So just say its only Sengoku, Garp, and 3 admirals with some of vice admirals against Shanks with full crew and marco with the others too surely will fight with Shanks. You still think that they cant take on what the World Goverment had there?

@@syn5322 yes of course. Its overkill. 2 admirals can take shanks or 1 can stall him if the others are needed else where. Then the 1 admiral left can beat the rest of whitebeard commanders. So it's only shanks crew left to worry about, and when shanks loses against 2 admirals which will be a pretty short tight, his crew will lose too. Or garp and sengoku can step in. Eitherway navy wine.
