I think she took her under her wing before the affair or her knowledge of it. Mica moved there at the age of 16. She got married I believe at the age of 18 with JP officiating the service and she babysat for JP and his first wife. The Millers then divorced and he married Mica.after her divorce. I think the women were civil to each other and even friendly because of the children. Alison actually caught him and Mica together. So sad.

From what I have read, she was like a full-time babysitter/almost nanny to the children, and Mica and her husband were very close to the family. Her and her husband were with them all the time. JP even proceeded over Mica’s 1st wedding; and helped her ex-husband proposed to her and everything. The whole time he was grooming her and trying to sleep with her-this imploding his 1st marriage. It’s my assumption that he then moved on to somebody else (this friend’s mom) and wanted to get Mica out of the picture- however he had to do it. I think his ex knew how sadistic he was and how manipulative he could be. She felt bad for Mica and I think she cared about her greatly. And she knew that Mica was a safe person for her kids to be with.

She’s giving LE a pass here. LE failed Mica’s repeated outreach for help and they sided with the abuser. I wouldn’t be surprised if JP gave favors to some LE folks in order for them to look the other way. Shame on Myrtle Beach PD. And let’s also not ignore Robeson County authorities who are just as suspect of corruption and cover ups, given their track record.

What if, with all those ties to Africa, children, slave labor conviction from JPs dad, prostitutes, and deviance, what IF there’s some trafficking going on with officials and politicians? Agreed. When someone with mental health issues/a personality disorder gaslights another person and projects their mental health issues onto the other person, that other person often begins to believe that they truly are the one with the problems and do develop mental illness, such as severe depression.

He had already demonstrated that he doesn't follow boundaries, He violated a few restraining orders. Man, he'd already had time to put too many trackers. He'll be doing things through other people. I really can't believe things will be fixed with an restraint that this individual cannot even respect. He never respected boundaries with their kids, wife or women... he'll fall sooner than later. I just hope Mica's family have cameras all the time to make sure he won't do anything. Especially after this ordeal finishes.

I’ve never understood how a church and pastor expect people to tithe when they are earning millions of dollars! If I was a pastor I would lead by example and give at least half of my earnings back to the church or charity but none ever do !

(Just my opinion). Here’s what happened: this lunatic drove her to the point that she needed to get a gun to protect herself. He tracked her to the gun store. Took her out to the boonies. Forced her at gunpont to read a script. Shot her. Pushed her in water. JP and his father are EXTREMELY sick. Mica was healthy. I pray that justice finds this scumbag

If he was holding her at gunpoint to read a script then she knew he was going to kill her. I would scream hey my husband's going to kill me . He would have had to threaten her with something severe for her not to say something else to the operator.

I'm not saying you're wrong but I thought of that. There's no way that unless he had a major threat he used against her she would have read that script. I think him and his father are both sick as well. I think they should take him to civil court because they may be able to persuade a jury that he pushed her to this point. However, he probably doesn't have a lot of Assets in his own name. I read somewhere that he already had transferred some of his assets to other people's names when the first filing happened. This is just such a sad case.

I don’t know much about this case yet, but every time I see Mica I just think about how beautiful she was. I’m sure her family misses her so much. I can’t imagine losing a loved one so publicly, but especially in the way they’ve lost Mica. 😢

It's my understanding that there's no Statute of Limitations on Felony criminal activity. In SC if it's anything less than stalking type crimes there's not much that falls under the felony side where personal relationships are concerned.

Felony crimes include fraud, tax evasion, other crimes include physical abuse, drugging someone, impersonating someone, defamation, stalking, abuse of several minors, death threats, and possible murder or murder for hire

@@heatherchandler1184 As soon as whatever that thing which causes them to cheat happens again, and it will happen again given enough time, whether it's boredom or frustration with the spouse then yes they will turn to the same thing. They are very likely to do this again especially if this person is jumping from relationship to relationship without any time in between to reflect on and regret their actions. If it is in someone's character to cheat then it is something they are willing to do to their partner whenever the going gets rough. There will never be a perfect relationship without any troubles so there will always be a reason for them to eventually cheat again. It is a character flaw and one you have to decide whether or not you're willing to live with and survive the pain of having done to you with when you get with someone who has cheated. In this case we cannot blame Mica for not having learned this life lesson as she was a sheltered child when she met this man.

I volunteered as a GAL for many year here in Miami. I was never involved in a case like this.All of my cases came through children being removed from their custodial parents because of neglect and abuse issues. It's brutal work. Seeing how some people "parent" is appalling. I had to give it up...

Why was a man who divorced his first wife even a pastor to begin with? I thought the Bible has rules about that. Titus 1:6; 1 Tim 3:2. Guess the church has made some exceptions. Second, he is absolutely responsible for her death. He’s the man, the husband. Where was he when she supposedly took her own life? He’s supposed to “protect” his wife. He is an abuser and needs to pay.

These allegations remind me of Chad Daybell's story where spouses/loved ones just happened to die within days of each other... this sounds all too familiar. Using religion for indiscretions. If anything, this pastor needs to be kicked out of this church.

I’m so confused about details and the timeline of this case. So, Mica was married when she started having an affair with him? So, why do people say that he groomed her since she was a teen? Was she a child bride? Also, she had an affair with him while also being very close to his wife at the time? And what should he be charged with if it’s clear that she took her own life based on the gun purchase and 911 call?
