He basically confirms what most assume. And he didn't say they don't edit, just that when they do they make a clear indication with a whiteout screen, but it's usually just for time and relevance. Don't really check tmz stuff often, or ever so not sure how much they do it. Also acknowledged they go through a process to obtain copyrights, which again is just confirming what is obvious. I really don't know why they even bothered to try to stop him. Unless Amber actually went into in depth negotiations with tmz to smear Johnny, which would I suppose open them up to a defamation suit by Johnny, but with a far stronger case than he had against The Sun.

Any extra involvement by the judge is ammunition for filing an appeal. So far, AH’s lawyers have only been able to complain about what evidence was permitted prior to the start of the trial, and the 1 week break. They haven’t complained much about the judge’s behavior during trial as the judge gave a lot of leeway to Elaine (with her arguing against Camille’s successful objections in front of the jury instead of approaching the bench, not controlling her own witnesses, arguing that she didn’t have any new evidence to waste everyone’s time, objecting with made up categories, not using the microphone properly, and trying to ram through the same questions to AH despite losing to Camille’s objections).

That’s genius! On top of finding a way to include him as a late witness due to other acts that are obliged for them to do so in the state that they’re governed in. Heards attorneys are always badgering witnesses even their own witnesses, it must be difficult to be getting asked something and whilst answering having another one fastballed at you mid sentence, and the next being more elusive, as if they are threatening for you to agree with the shenanigans that they’re asking you

Heard’s lawyers have tried to smear many of Depp’s witnesses, but it’s a tactic that should be used sparingly and narrowly targeted. They are just not very good at this sort of thing, and it is likely hurting their client with the jury. But the client is also a train wreck on the stand.

Also, they don't want their employees (former or otherwise) giving up sources, revealing inner workings, or reversing the narrative that a source is trying to sell because TMZ will be less likely to receive "tips" from celebs who aren't sure if their photos or video are going to get reverse Uno'd on them later. There's a symbiotic sleaziness between celebs and TMZ and ratting out their sources or contradicting their not-entirely-honest PR attempts jeopardizes that.

They aren't that bad IMO, but their lawyers seem like they are, and that's also what I read/hear. And that usually says a lot about the leadership of an organization. They had lawyers in the courtroom which this video doesn't show (this clip starts RIGHT when their lawyers stopped talking to the judge, IIRC), and they were trying to intervene in the case (on behalf of the defense/Amber) and one lawyer even asked if he could reserve the right to object (only parties to the case can object, like the lawyers, or even Depp himself -- Johnny could even object, but they wanted this right), that the judge rightly denied. TMZ's owner (CEO? I mean Harvey 😂) is also a lawyer, however, but I feel he should know better then, perhaps, or maybe he just has good reason for things like this, but it seemed like bullying today.

He’s a stand-up guy that just wanted to do the right thing when he was contacted by his friend and knew the narrative about the video wasn’t right. He absolutely doesn’t deserve to get sued and I truly hope they don’t try to go after him…he was extremely careful about what he said and did what should be happening in journalism…telling the truth!! One thing to note here is that though the guy didn't mention the source, he mentioned that if the videos come from a direct source it takes only 15 minutes to upload it. When Camille asked him about how much time it took him to upload the video of Johnny banging the cabinets he said it was 15mins. So it implies that it was a direct and verified source which can definitely be Amber or her team! I think the juries would take this into account.
