With the release of The Jinx Part 2 let's take a look back to the Robert Durst trial. Robert Durst stands trial for the 2000 murder of friend Susan Berman. The trial began just before the pandemic in early 2020 and was halted two weeks in. The restart happened May 17, 2021, with the same jury panel.
The defendant’s wife Kathleen McCormack Durst went missing in 1982. Evidence and testimony would show that Robert Durst killed her, the prosecutor said. The defendant allegedly told Berman it was an accident and asked her for help. She served as his alibi.
Berman, 55, was shot execution-style at her Beverly Hills home in 2000, and the prosecution suggested that it was because of what she knew about Kathleen’s death and disappearance. As defense lawyer Dick DeGuerin would have it, however, Durst is innocent. His client only came across the body, panicked, and fled, he maintained.

Mella you ROCK! Good on ya young lady. Despite all the idiots in your life you found the right compass and have steered your own ship beautifully. The one class act in this whole pile of crap, including the cops, lawyers and judge.

This is not a higher punishment than stay in front of a Court at this age. We are human being. We are living always by comparing with animals. At hus age, a respected man have to live in peace and thinking to the God blessing. His soul is screaming and for this his flesh is full of ilness and looks like a hunted animal. In-dept, we have to pray for him.

@@mihaelapribu9370 Yeah I can't believe the hideous things he has done. Admittedly dismembered his neighbour and probably killing and dismembered his first wife and shooting his best friend. God knows what other things he has done in his life. It's very disturbing

@@rosas4851 I read this man because I am living the same situation. He is a very complex person, smart and correct in his opinion. It is difficult to write in my poor English but I think that these murders was accidentally. He never thought to do a crime. When you have not any chance for leave out of this kind of person, the key is to don't ever disagree with him, judge him, change his understanding, be very busy and too calm. He reacted in every case rapidly!

That man was so inquisitive. And the first step being done, to shut in Texas a person, it was not so difficult. The problem is that choping! In my opinion here is the key! How he thought to chop a human body? Here appears the question. He done this to his wife?

This prosecutor is bloody painful to listen to. He needs to brush up on his communication skills. I ❤️ the lead prosecutor who did the opening. He knows how to grab your attention and actually has passion for the case.

Its like an 11 year olds first trip to a courtroom. The lawyer is so nervous he can't even form words or complete sentences. Whoever wrote the questions shouldn't even be in law. Unbelievable that the world's declining stupidity filters to all jobs

Perhaps if everyone was really concerned that Dursts' jail status not be divulged to the jury. Has anyone noticed that his wheel chair cleary had LA county jail on the back? Jurors have been staring at it for weeks? No one noticed? Great catch Defense..🤦🏼‍♀️

Can someone please explain the judge’s legal rationale for allowing into evidence Susan Berman’s hearsay statements to her daughter that Susan called the med school after Katherine’s disappearance? (Seems to be offered for the truth and does not fall under any obvious exception that I can think of.)
