What shows a lawyers true character is when they clearly are struggling to find a defense and know there is no defense, yet they still get mad at the other side.....like, how can you be mad when you know your side is guilty? It makes no sense.

When lawyers have to phrase the question with that many stipulations, you KNOW they know the truth and are trying to manipulate people for a specific response they can misconstrue. "Isn't it true that you were not specifically told this specific detail at this specific time?" (Objection to him being told, as it's hearsay).

@@SuperVman95 yep. So if "she admitted she did this on Saturday at 5 o'clock," they'll frame it as "Isn't it true that from Thursday until Saturday at noon, she in fact did NOT tell you that she did this thing?" When they're so careful to frame the focus in on SPECIFIC boundaries, they often know the truth is just outside of that boundary. Yet, when the witness tries to tell "the whole truth" as they've sworn to do "that's not my question! I specifically asked you to exclude that part!"

This guy is clearly new to this kind of case. He should have stopped his witness, explained to the witness that they should only testify on their own firsthand knowledge, and then rephrased the question. He’s been objecting with hearsay so instinctively throughout this whole trial, he didn’t think about how important it is to treat unbiased witnesses like this with care and respect. He is gaining no favor in this trial. His tactics work in small time court by constantly stumbling the opposing side’s attorney, but in a case like this he needs to understand that the court of public opinion is going to heavily weigh on the outcome of this case.
