Doing lawn care at my own house is something I really enjoy. I don't get to take my time usually but this time I really took my time and got it nice and clean. There is something about cutting your own yard that gives you this since of pride and feeling like a man.

Very nice job. My husband has never done our lawn care, unfortunately, his jobs have always had him at work 12 hour days 7 days a week most of the time so I have always done our yards. I know what you mean about the pride of doing a job well. Good thing I love to do it! lol

Just take pride when you do jobs like this especially at your house! I run my own lawn care business and I have a 2016 johndeere x730 with a 54inch mower deck and then a STIHL Kombi system I have a straight shaft trimmer and a straight shaft edger I haul my kombi system with a trailer! You inspired me to start doing lawn care! And I’m 12 and I do 5 lawns!

Totally understand that. My husband is a artistic furniture maker and has designed a custom bar for Wayne Newton and a violin sculpture for Joshua Bell, and a table for Harrods of London, and was nominated for the Niche awards in New York but you come in our house and all the furniture is broken hand me downs minus one side table he made us. Haha! But I love him and I know he is working his hinney off for our family. Hopefully someday it pays off and he can have more time off. Anyways enjoying your lawn videos because we are trying to fix our lawn right now and learning a lot of good tricks. thanks!

Great video Brian. I’m glad you got your lawn back into shape. For me personally I always put a lot of effort with my lawn. My lawn is about 1.5 acres it’s somewhat big. My employees will mow my property and I usually do the edging and trimming and blowing. I take my time when I edge and trim since my lawn has a ton of beds and a lot of stones and retaining walls. My driveway and sidewalks are made out of bricks so most times I have to go extremely slow so I can get the edges really crisp. After seeing you finished mowing your lawn and cleaned up the driveway, sidewalks, Patio, etc. man what a difference

My neighbors told me I should set the example since I mow a few homes on our street but when you are making money your lawn is the last one to get your attention. The good thing is because I have taken care of it in the past it still looks better than theirs when I do go after it. I know the feeling Bro!

Thats a good size back yard, i would make me a back yard oasis in a yard that big. Do a little mulching in front by the mailbox and the house and you will have the Top Notch effect !!! same as you i always feel good good when i make my own yard nice and while im at it i always mow 2 of my neighbors yards every time i never charge because i love it...You are the man on that Walker, i think the walker is the best mower for bagging that is made..

Lol yeah I know the feeling, especially when you have a job aaaaand cut grass on the side. When you get home you don't want to see grass, and I use to cut grass on my full time job too! Lol but now that I'm freed up to just run my business and I planted some grass it makes it easier to do now.

I feel ya on this video... I had just let my yard go about a week and a half because of my riding mower breaking down and then my surgery I had to take it easy and really put my yard on the back burner. I finally had the day off today and a little bit of extra energy that I haven't had in a while so I went out and cut my yard. went over it twice in checker board style on 4. and man it looks beautiful again. everyone else's yards are like a very pale green because they cut them so short and mine's a gorgeous deep green with a flat cut. Love it. didn't have hardly any clippings left either because I mulch.

Even though the yard was neglected for a while, the fact that you can turn it into a respectable yard, thats all that matters! Nice job...Might be a little patchy on the grass, but it was still a transformation that says you care!

I just finally cut mine a few days ago.. Finally got my nicest yard title back lol I'm only on my second snake that I know of.. Man call me soft but if I killed a bunny it would really bother me.

mine sometimes grows so tall my dad's craftsman lawn mower has a really hard time when I push it with the self-propelled on, p.s. the self propelled is nearly broken because we had it for years.

I used to have that same problem neglecting my yard. After a long day of doing lawn care the last thing you want to do is cut your own lawn. And I find that to be very common with lawn guys. So now I added it to my Thursday route. After I pick up my helper we do 6 lawns by lunch time. Then we go do my house while my wife gets us lunch and we eat it here. And after we finish with lunch we go on our way to finish up the rest of the route for the day.

I too have a Walker GHS and have been watching your vids for a while, what do you end up doing with your grass clippings just out of curiousity. We collect a pickup truck bed full every day and man they take forever to break down out in our field. poking around for some thoughts and ideas. I must say I feel nothing beats a Walkers cut, especially the GHS ones. We have a mulcher one too but the GHS stripes awesome, way better than the mulcher does

Tom OBrien I posted on craigslist and asked if anybody wants grass clippings. You would be surprised how many people replied. I ended up going with a lady that is close to a lot of my properties and she lets me dump for free.

we have lots of lawn care guys that have walker mowers and i love the stihl br 600 blower i did work with a guy that had the same blower i dont have one but if you were dowing leaf cleen ups i wil put it in full power

Its ironic how some people are so removed from their own job or business that earns them money. I was watching a video of a shoe shiner in new york who made a living off shining peoples shoes yet his own shoes were not shined. My dad sells sunglasses yet he never wears them himself. So ironic

Ugh...your one of those guys that weedeat backwards. If you was to always make sure you keep moving forward the head on the weedeater head wont bob up and down creating an uneven cut. As a person walks backwards it will cause our hips to pivot causing our arms to move up and down.

08Brum I usually don't have a problem trimming uneven. Nobody is perfect but I think I trim fairly well.
