That's how I have my lawn, barely any grass all short colorful flowers and I let it grow about 12" before cut. Looks amazing.

@@caronitaclark4058 It'll only work with flowers that'll grow locally for ya but I just went to home depot a couple years ago and got a mixed flower seed bag. Had a few different types of flower seeds all mixed in a bag not paper envelope. I spread them all over and the strongest growing ones take over and all are now these purple ones for me. That will give u a chance to try a few types at same time and strongest gets to stay. Every season mine come back and bloom now. Only drawbacks I've found is alot of flying critters some good butterfly's etc some bad wasps stinging type critters. Only other drawback is you can't cut your lawn while they're growing so before they bloom you have to let your yard over grow a little more than your neighbors usually(isn't that tall and blooms after starts to grow taller). I only now after they've bloomed and are done and every season they come back and I won't mow until they bloom. They're beautiful when blooming and cars slow down if driving by to take pics n look. If u want I can send technical name of my type that works but if I where you if try a few kinds that can grow locally for ya. I also don't use chemicals on my lawn, no ant killer or weed killers etc or your flowers won't grow and bloom for like 6ft around even a drop of that stuff.

I find mowing with a bag attached to be so satisfying!!!!!! Just the way all of the thick tall grass is chopped away and a clean lawn, free of debris is the end result!!!! Great work!!!

I have a Honda mower that I purchased in 2010 it is still mowing like a champ with no signs of letting up.

The purple flowers are called Henbit. It will die once the weather gets hot in the summer.

@@myobmyob2215 yes red clover. But a lot of times it’s white clover that infests peoples yards. Plus the timing of the video was in earlier spring which helped in the conclusion of henbit.

Love watching this video from Ireland here 🇮🇪, the purple lawn is so like our purple heather that grows wild everywhere up the Wicklow Mountains and so many other places here in Ireland in the Spring....but if I had a purple henbit lawn like that , it wld be just fine with me 😁😁👍. Even cut there is a white hue from it that is very striking too, if not the best of official green lawn that most gardeners and homeowners prefer... the purple henbit in such an array is so beautiful and good for the bees I am guessing. Your standard of work is Outstanding ! 🌻

Just a suggestion. If you move your left hand farther down on the machine, it'll give you more stability and control when edging. Still a beautiful job well done!

Just got me a new trimmer - shindaiwa 230 .. first thing I did was take the guard off it. I frigging love it.. it can cut down an Amazon rain forest. I do my entire yard with it and my neighbors think I’m nuts. You could rollerblade or play golf on it. Your trim work is legendary.

I used to edge with a weed eater too but hands down edger is way quicker and cleaner 5 minutes and done on that whole yard. Not hating at all no doubt it’s quicker and easier if you have you a good sthil edger

Some people flip that trimmer upside down because it looks good - it takes skill to do that - he better flip it back over and take his time learning the proper way first

Hopefully you went and cleaned up your equipment afterwards, very easy to spread weeds and disease, even when shrub trimming, the trimmer has to be cleaned regularly
