My Lawnmower and ATV shed used to have a 12v system and the battery died. Now I am upgrading to a 48v system with a much larger inverter. This system has 1000w of solar power feeding the 5kwh battery and 5000w inverter. All this system is lacking to be complete is a ground rod.

Yes! It needs a ground for sure. You can't hear it in person but the mic hears it loudly

I like how Seth stopped the noise be coming the earth UPDATE: I also noticed that on the inverter it says to mount on a non-combustible surface. Seth might need to review his mounting position.

Yeah my Kostal inverter often gets really hot even with the fan ripping. Way too hot to keep you fingers on the cooling fins. It had the same advisory about mounting.

I literally could not have done anything else on that setup before getting it grounded. Can't even watch the rest of the video. :)

Because it's electrical noise. You don't hear It in person. It wasn't until the video was edited. That I realized how loud it was.

@@LandtoHouse - OK, that makes sense. I can understand not wanting to shoot the whole thing again, or overdub the audio, but MAN, that was annoying! :)

I am in the process of setting up a outdoor kitchen that I want to power off solar. I’m planning on a few lights and a couple 110 outlets to power my pellet grill and maybe a mini fridge the rest will be on gas. What would be your recommendation on a solar build for something like this.
