Hi There Bill ,, thanks heeps for your videos as they are inspiring. The look on your railway is quite awesome. Also thanks for not monetizing your videos as going through your videos that are helpful to us for learning about the hobby & is good to go through without ads. I know other channels have monetised there videos and i know its there choice by monetizing them but having bloody ads playing through them is no good. The one I watched was only went for 35 min and had 12 ads in it. Thanks again. Cheers from John in Australia

I just can't be bothered with the paper work monetising requires. Mind you...when I retire in a couple of years I might have to!

Yep thats fair enough too m8 , and I will still be watching your videos as it is worth it to gain the knowledge you give us. Cheers from John in Australia

G'day Bill Mate great work with the new layout and I'm certainly enjoying watching your progress and learning some new techniques myself. Cheers, Darren from Newcastle, NSW Australia

Got it all going on: express landscaping, swagger stick, Van Gough-esque brushwork and even (at 1min 45sec), a reference to Procol Harum! It's interesting that when I was a young boy I didn't need any scenery, as my imagination created it for me. One day my trains would be rushing through a busy city station and the next it they'd be chugging through the countryside. Sadly, I lost that superpower decades ago. Lovely job, Bill.

Batter it on! 😂 looks amazing for battered on scenery. Very nice rock faces I must have missed that video. I need something similar myself.

Bill, that embossed card is so effective, never would have thought about that... a much better look than the rubbish scatter I used for our goods yard 👏👏

You make it look so easy. Great technique. A Corfe Castle type ruin would look good atop the hill. Just a thought.

The tower house featured in my old layout will make an appearance but not on that hill.

Hi Bill I don't use one of those scatter things either a balloon dose just as good ,rub it up and down your jumper ,jeans and run over the scatter you've just put down and it stands up job done 🤭🤗

Nice job. I was a bit worried about the cliff painting, but it all blended in very well. I'd better get my a*se into gear and make my next temporary layout. Just a roundy roundy 1 way DCC the other DC With a DMU going point to point in the background.

Good progress Bill. I like the effect of your cliff faces. Very nice.

Progress is looking good Bill. I've tried a similar static grass applicator. In order make the grass stand up better, vacuum the areas after 4 minutes. By then the grass in anchored enough in the PVA to stand up. Worked for me. 👍

Wow, your landscaping method is really effective. Awesome.

Speaking as a non-modeller; this latest corner on your layout is superb. So many layouts I’ve seen are totally cluttered with windmills, churches, mountains of stock etc etc. maybe yours will end up that way, but then it IS yours.

I know what you mean. And no it won't. :)

As everyone say, Rule 1, it's your layout, run and do what you want with it, slap-dash is perfect.

Hi Bill. What a transformation. You've certainly got the imagination for it. Should look rather realistic with trains running past it. Looking forward to the next stage. Ciao, Paul. 👍❤

It was given to me as a kit back in the 70s one Xmas. I have no idea what make it is or where it came from.
