Hey Alessia! First off, I just wanted to say you are the best! I am a professional dancer and have been dancing for 15 years now (professionally for 2 years) and your exercises really help me. I am still trying to improve my jumps and I try to do this video daily! I injured my right foot multiple times so these exercises are definitely good for it. Thank you for all that you do! Do you have any tips on getting better at consecutive turns, those are my main weakness haha

Great video,I'm definitely subscribing! I just started Irish dancing like five months ago, but I'm having a lot of trouble with jumping. I know my age and no previous excercising experience have a lot to do with it,but I would really appreciate any advice of how to apply these excercises in Irish dancing. Thanks in advance!

can you do a video on diet for dancers?
@lazydancertips7 жыл бұрын
Hi Chelsea , Yes I will at some point do the diet videos, in the main time keep eating healthy, avoid fried and process foods that slow down your metabolism therefore make you feel tired, lots of green and colourful fruits and veggies, veggie proteins and looooots of water. Avoid White bread and pasta and substitute it with gluten free/brown bread-pasta. I will definitely talk more about it soon, maybe with recipes ! Ciao Alessia :D

what a great workout! can you teach us how to jump higher in your next video? i can never go high to achieve a proper position :-((((( I always try to breath or think tall, but i just cant handle it, i feel not stronger enough physically... sad...wish that you can share. meanwhile i will keep on exercising with your video, thank you so very much for making ballet tutorial. xxx
@lazydancertips7 жыл бұрын
Glad you liked this! Always remember that when you want to jump higher you need a bigger plie, heels of ground and more control. Have a look at olympic high jumps, look at the coordination and preparation kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nttxjLGg063JYIk.html . When they take off they take the power from arms, foot, back of legs and abs. They go down to jump up! If you always try to stay up and not bend your knees, you won't have anywhere to jump from. Hope it helps. Ciao Alessia ps. I hve more of these is store for videos to come :)

Loving you videos! If you ever run out of video ideas, could you do a 'lazy barre' video where everything is done sloooowly (slow plies, slow tendus etc) to really help feel the correct muscles working? I have been experimenting with a couple of barre videos and it is extremely hard to find a slow barre. Cheers!

i absolutely LOVE your videos on ankle strengthening because I am working SO hard to get en pointe. Do you think you could make a video on feet flexibility/high arches? I've watched so many videos from other channels, but I was wondering if you have any tips. Thanks in advance!
@lazydancertips7 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad to hear you are enjoying the videos! I have put together a playlist for feet and ankles strengthening exercises that might interest you, Do them everyday and you'll see you will improve your pointe work in no time. Remember you have to work on your core control too to achieve the best stability on pointe, never let the legs do all the work, too tiring for them :) Here you go the playlist, let me know how you get on with it. kzfaq.info/sun/PL6uNyaHwZN496rxsd223RPlXEM9Ka_rYX Ciao Alessia :)

So I’m having a dilemma. I haven’t danced in forever. I took dance for 7 years (tap, jazz, acro, and ballet). I hated ballet for some reason because I started doing it as a toddler but nowadays a ton of dance teams only focus on leaps and turns and such. Is it ever too late to try and learn these things again☹️

How often do you recommend doing these exercises to see significant improvement?
@falolafolasayo12646 жыл бұрын
Hi... I'm sorry I'm bringing you back but I just came across your channel and it's been incredibly helpful. I have a question. My instructors often complain that whenever I have to do fast movements I'm always like a millisecond slower than every one else. What can I do to improve on my speed and still maintain the quality of the movements.
@lazydancertips6 жыл бұрын
Hi Falola, thank you for your super cool question. Muscles need to be disciplined to do what you want them to do. The more you do a movement the easier it becomes, therefore to challenge dancers, we need to work at faster speed. It's a matter of muscles and brain training, you have to discipline yourself in training quicker movements and musicality. Try working on a tendue exercise you know well, then do it few times, and every time you repeat it, put the music faster and faster. The quality of movement at first might "go out of the window", but the more you do it the more you perfect it. You can try this with any exercise and any combination. It's a very good practice :)Let me know how it goes:) Love Alessia
