Une forteresse remplacée par un château renaissance 16ème siècle totalement rénové au 18è siècle. Le spectacle est tout aussi étonnant en externe qu’en intérieur où décors et mobilier sont créés par les artistes les plus réputés de l’époque. Ce château appartient à la même famille depuis 300 ans, la famille de Beauvau-Craon qui veille à le préserver et l’ouvre à la visite pour le plaisir de tous.

Partie précieuse de l’histoire de la Lorraine .Quelle splendeur ! (Ces tapisseries ! )J’ai eu la chance de rencontrer une fois la Princesse de Beauveau Craon ,si profondément élégante.Disparue aujourd’hui.Qu’elle soit remerciée pour l’oeuvre de sa vie .

Le plus beau sinon parmi les 3 plus beaux châteaux de Lorraine. La classe comme la princesse en peinture lors de la visite.

Superbe ! Merci de partager cette découverte. Grâce aux grandes fenêtres, les pièces bénéficient d'une luminosité exceptionnelle, et leur mise en valeur est d'autant plus importante. Le parc et les jardins sont aussi très beaux. Bravo à cette famille pour la qualité de la préservation!

Thank you very much for your feedback. The renaissance castle was transformed in 1720 and it belongs to the same family since that date. It's a private castle but visits are organized. You live very far away. I was near your state in the past, when I went from Chicago to Cincinatti for a business trip.

What a shame I neither speak nor read French. I would have enjoyed the commentary or subtitles in English. That being said, the castle is stunningly beautiful....thank you.

Thank you for your answer. It's a surprise for me to be viewed in countries other than Lorraine. I have to think how to create video content understood. Subtitles are not enough because of schemas containing dozens of words. It's my challenge for next months.

@Papille Cricri it is hard to view subtitles when they go by too quickly. Maybe try voice-over in English if you can. We Americans love seeing your chateaux. This, by the way, is one of the most beautiful ones I have seen on KZfaq. Abientot.

10€ for a visit. But several tens of million euros, I suppose, if you want to buy it. The castle belongs to the same private family who acquired it as a gift before the transformation in 1720. It was a gift of Leopold 1st, duke of Lorraine, to his friend Marc de Beauvau-Craon in the beginning of 18th century. Unbeleavable.

Franchement, je préfère voir le verre à moitié plein. Car vouloir catégoriser l'Histoire avec des mots ne changera pas l'Histoire d'un millimètre.

@@PapilleCricri Ne pas changer l'histoire certainement, mais occulter l'opposition éternelle des privilégiés et de leurs esclaves, plus ou moins consentants, c'est autre chose. Ceci dit je n'ai rien contre ce château, plutôt joli; je situe juste le contexte.

You have a very low viewership. You must be one who hates the English language. Sorry but it is the most spoken second language in the world. So why entertain your partiality when no one wants to watch?

In my answer, I don't want to justify myself. I just want to explain. When I started in 2019, I wanted to discover my region Lorraine, to collect rushes and to create a movie for people in my region and if possible make them want to discover by a visit. Over time, I tried to understand the history of the places. Now, I choose to combine rushes and comments on the past. With your comment and others, I am surprised to be viewed in others countries, probably thousands of miles away. I appreciate that people living far away are interested in places in Lorraine. Not for the audience because it is absolutely not my goal. For the moment, I'm thinking about what to do. Subtitles are not enough because there are more and more diagrams in my langage in videos. So what to do ? Maybe create some videos in French and a second one in English. It's more work. All ideas are welcome.
