I declutterred 2018 items in 2018, and it wasn't as hard as one might think! I KNOW a family of five can easily declutter 100 items of clothing.

I'm helping a seriously mentally ill individual clean out his apartment. We're doing it slow so it is not overwhelming. So far we've gotten rid of 9 garbage bags, many many empty boxes & a big aldi bag I'm going to take to have shredded for him of documents. That doesn't count a bucket full of used needles that were all over that I'll dispose at a pharmacy for him and 3 old pill organizer cases with old meds in it that I let his nurse have to dispose of properly. He says he hates doing it. But once it is done, he loves it. And he's noticed hus apartment smells better and he likes that bc he was going through 6 cans of febreeze air freshener a month. I'm so excited for him. He deserves a fresh, clutter free and health safe home. We found so many dead roaches. Now there's less places for them to try to hide.

You did that decluttering spot on. I have seen others count pieces of trash as an item. Shannon, you didn't. You had real stuff. So proud of you. I love watching your videos. Around of you!!!

Great job!!! Our house has been decluttered and in maintenance mode for a few years, but I still do this a lot. I'm always amazed that I can STILL get 100 items out of almost any room. Like, kids outgrew clothes, or socks have holes, or medicine expired, or these chords went with an item that broke so are no longer needed, or I thought we would use something but didn't, or the kids brought home a bag of junk from a holiday party....etc. For example, I just bought new glass spice jars and they came with FOUR different sets of labels to choose from, each set having 5 sheets. I used what I needed and just posed the extra three sets on our Buy Nothing group yesterday. That alone was 15 sheets of labels. It's amazing how quickly you can get to 100 iems, even in a decluttered space.

I'm reading the news about the wildfires in Texas. I hope you and your loved ones stay safe and that the fires are put out quickly. My thoughts are with everyone in Texas affected. ❤🐦

Now ya got me thinking. I have purged so much in the last year and in the last several weeks, but I’m up for the 100 items challenge.

I LOVE to watch you. I got rid of 41 BRAND NEW items out of my house this Wed and gave them to my brother which is moving into a brand new apartment. Felt so good just to get them out of my house. I'm having a yard sale and I have maybe 250 items that I'm going to be trying to sell on March 8,9th. I'm going through my closet and house this week and see how much more I can get out. I HOPE to be close to 100+ MORE items 😅 YOU INSPIRE ME!!!

My 5 items to declutter are: t shirts,nail polish,kitchenware,pajamas,the boxes of stuff I moved to live with my husband 16 years ago! Heather💜

We did a MASSIVE declutter of our home in 2020 and to this day, I declutter things every 2 or 3 months. It is so easy to clean and maintain a home without all the excess in it….and we are definitely not minimalist. You did amazing Shan. I love this series already❤️❤️

Thank you for the video. For myself, decluttering is not final until all the stuff physically removed from my house. In this video, when you arrived in your closet you prove to us that you did not removed your stuff for your last decluttered. This is one of the reason you are not making much progress, in reality you are doing shuffling, shifting clutter. You are moving your clutter from one part of your house to the other. Be king to yourself,stop doing the same job over and over. It will be nice to see a video of actually removing it from your house, drop off etc 😀🙌💟

I love your self talk. I do this with myself. It is amazing what we can gather when going through things or even re- visiting places we have already decluttered.

I have a round large basket that sits on top of my shoe storage and when it's full I drop it off, it holds about a Walmarts bag full. I don't personally own that much but my husband on the other hand.....yikes, is all I'll say about that!

I've been decluttering clothes made from synthetic fabrics like acrylic and polyester and I'm sure I can find 5 more to yeet outta there!

My head must be odd shaped to the never stay put . You ought to make yourself a self care basket and put in face mask chocolate fluff socks or a book and when your don with dinner or your children sit down for ten to fifteen minutes and treat yourself every single night it important to take care of yourself but equally great to pay yourself on the back after a busy day of doing well , well done with your decluttering xx
