Leaking Diverter Valve - Vaillant Ecofit Pure

In this video I show how to replace a leaking diverter valve on a Vaillant Ecofit Pure. The process is the same for Glowworm Energy, Heatline Capriz and Vaillant Ecofit Sustain boilers, as well as any of the other similar variants.
You can use either a Vaillant or Glowworm diverter valve in either boiler, as they're both exactly the same, but I find the Glowworm parts will generally be cheaper. Both part numbers are listed below

This video is not for homeowners to attempt a repair on their own boiler, but an assistance to existing Gas Safe Registered engineers. Any attempt to work on a boiler is at your own risk.

Yes it always helps to drain the boiler fully 👌🏾

Is the manifold set up. The same as the sustain. Looks familiar ones we hav still under warrenty so ain't touching the beggars. Would always worry having to pull it like that of cracking the right manifold. Modern boilers eh plastic fantastics 😭😭😏

I believe it is the same setup. Agree, not a fan of the "composite" but everyone trying to cut costs on materials these days!

Don’t forget taking the front case off and majority of vailliant is actually a case seal same as the newer glow worms if you remove this case and it put it back on properly and you’ve never had your boiler serviced the burner could be leaking the case seal has failed…. Your going to go night night 😂

@@cputilitysolutions wasn’t to you buddy it was to all the numpties thinking they can change there own diverter valve then they do fuck it up kill them are there mrs and then when we go and renew our gas they throw daft questions at us and change the regs because some bellend thought he was clever 😂

Been fed up with qualified 20 year experienced engineers not been able to find leaks and banging on about the heater exchanger is gubbed you can't see the cracks I found it myself it was the diverter cartridge leaking simple £16 replacement and watching a couple of KZfaq videos rather than taking out a £2500 loan where they don't come out cause your policy doesn't include that and this part. Time to fix your own boilers insurance is a joke
