Lean / Lean Manufacturing can provide outstanding results to companies, but it is not easy.
It requires the development of a set of continuous improvement principles, and the creation of a continuous improvement culture that engages the entire team. It requires learning the basic Lean tools like Standard Work, 5S, poka yoke, jidoka, just-in-time, andon lights, kaizen, and more.
It also requires a new, continuous improvement-oriented leadership style, headlined by policy deployment.
This video provides an overview of Lean operations. It comes from our Lean Training System, now part of the Continuous Improvement Development System. It is one of 36 videos in the series, spanning the 6 phases of the CIDS.
As some of these videos have aged over the last decade or so, we’ve migrated them from DVDs to our online platform, CI Central (academy.velaction.com/) and are now putting extended free version of them up here on KZfaq. The full video is available at Velaction Videos.
This video is part of a massive system of continuous improvement training. Here are some supporting links to find ways to get more out of it.
