Could you tell me the meaning of "get candid"? Kindly give one or more examples to explain this

As far as I know, it's an informal way to say: "To be sincere" It's kind of a synonym for "be sincere" or "get sincere". - get candid or get sincere or be sincere.

It means to begin talking very honestly and openly, without hiding any details or your real opinions. For example, if a celebrity "gets candid" about her romantic relationships in an interview, it means she says real details and honest opinions about her relationships (not hiding things or lying).
