At 3:21, you say "Почему ты не на уроке?", but don't you mean "Почему тебя не на уроке?" You were describing the impersonal construction, but for present tense still used personal language? At 4:54 you are also saying how absence requires that the subject be in the genitive case.

Yep I think so, it's "Почему тебя нет на уроке?", but since Russian is flexible both of them r ok, moreover u even can say "Ты почему не на уроке?", "Тебя почему нет на уроке?", "Ты не на уроке, почему?", "На уроке тебя нет, почему?"

Russian native myself. You can't leave "не" alone, a verb after it is required. Почему тебя не было...? Почему тебя не спросили...? Even in completely different examples: Не могу не согласиться (I can't disagree) P.S. Of course there are exceptions, every rule in Russian has exceptions😅. But you can forget about it for now Не один, но два (Not one, but two)

Спасибо вам огромное! Можете ли вы объяснить разницу между "вам можно" и "вы можете" в каких случаях мы их используем? Ещё вопрос слово мелький не понимаю его использование, а есть разница между ним и словами маленький и малый?

Я скоро сделаю короткое видео о разнице между «можно» и «могу/можешь»! «Мелкий» это синоним слов «маленький», «малый». Нужно всегда смотреть, в каких словосочетаниях можно использовать то или иное слово. Например, «мелкий» мы используем в следующих словосочетаниях: мелкая река, мелкий дождь, мелкий шрифт, мелкие детали и т.д.

To use your example, «Я не была Европа», let's say there was a trip my friend group takes to Europe, and someone is asking me about it, can I then say «Меня не был Европа»? I am curious, because I want to know how to distinguish "I have never been to Europe" from "I wasn't in Europe" in a context like that

That’s a very good question actually. Here I would use both sentences though depending on a context. If you want to emphasize that you were supposed to be there with everyone, but didn’t go for some reason, you would say: Меня не было в Европе со всеми. But if you want to use it as a general fact, you can say: Я не был / не была в Европе со всеми. It won’t be a mistake.

I'm also russian native speaker and in some points i do not agree with the teacher. The difference between these forms "я не был" и "меня не было" is not so dramatic and in most of cases they are used in the same situations, except a few of them. For example, in the situation "Я не был в Европе" it mostly cannot be "Меня не было в Европе", but in many other situations both has almost the same meaning. Even in case of a promise, if I say "Почему ты не был в кино?", it sounds fully OK, maybe the option "Почему тебя не было в кино?" sounds really a bit nicer, but the first option can be widely used even by native speakers.

But did you factor in that she is not simply teaching common russian but grammatically correct, accurate russian? She is a qualified teacher.

Sure, the difference is not huge but still you can feel it 😊 Plus native speakers use a lot of phrases and words that are not always grammatically correct.
