I am a real world Airbus pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the new detailed simulation of the longest baby 'bus by Toliss as well as the new MSFS a320 NEO. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

The Dreamliner actually doesn’t have traditional apu or engine bleed. The only bleed air used is for the engine cowl and hydraulic reservoirs. APU is used exclusively for electrical power. Packs receive hot air from 2 electric CACs (Cabin air compressors). Wing anti ice is accomplished by electric heater mats. United aircraft technician work on these every night :)

It’s simulations like this that are holding back MSFS. It’s a great looking sim but we need more study level aircraft. As a real 787 driver I was saddened to see that some of the overhead switches don’t work. Also the panels, especially those on the centre console look like they are less cluttered than on the real thing. Hopefully a high quality 787 will appear at some point. Ideally pmdg!

Really enjoyed this. I only joined the Flight Sim scene about 4 months ago & I gotta say thanks for all your content. You're tutorials got me in the air in the A32NX & now it's all I fly. Until now! After watching this, I grabbed the Premium Deluxe version & the Big Heavy mod & tried to replicate your flight. It went well until the PFD froze (although the rest of the aircraft was working! 🤔) which made it somewhat difficult, I guess there's still a few bugs, but I'll be back to give the 787 another go. Thanks again. Always my goto for tutorials & info now. Top job.

After enjoying this video I took the Heavy Division 787 mod up today for a flight from Nice to Venice. It flew the SID, tracked the LNAV, and descended and slowed according to my inputs. At TOD I input some waypoint altitudes (because I can't do it in the FMC), selected VNAV and it performed beautifully. When the localizer was captured I selected APPR and it flew the ILS very nicely. This is my favorite airliner now in MSFS. I am prejudiced toward Boeing aircraft. I can't wait for a really good 737.

Great vid. I am definitely going to go for the Premium Deluxe version when I get a PC that can handle MSFS2020 well. I know the 787 and 747 got a lot of stick for their usability issues at launch, but what with this mod and this great video which acts as a tutorial then its convinced me that the extra money is worth it to get these planes plus the extra airports. It certainly showed that in the right hands its definitely capable, and will only hopefully get better. Thanks to both of you for this. I enjoyed the format.
