@Dan Don 😂 i know. It's a long story bro. Im about my fitness. I used to weigh 230. I dropped down to 192. This is in a short amount of time, the right way with work outs , and intermittent fasting. I lost my job, became homeless and lived in my car. Still ran when i could. Some nights over 2 miles none stop. For a dude used to being 230 thats incredible, for me at least. Now i have a place to stay. I hit the punching bag, lift weights, and now jump rope daily. I just know im between that range. Havent weighed myself since that 192 the end of last year. Lol Edit: FYI from dropping that weight im pretty fast on my feet, since the extra weight is gone.

I think it has to do with the fact that impact is a lot more with the normal jump.

I can definitely understand that. To me this always almost feels like walking, which makes it more natural movement in my opinion. Puts less pressure on your calves, it engages your whole lower body a bit more than the explosive calve movement normal jump engages

Thank you, very helpful. Thank you for slowing down the video at points and zooming in to your feet and the step. I have found starting a normal jump first to get a rope rhythm and then transitioning my feet to the boxer skip has helped me. I just started and it IS fun!

Thanks again for a great video. I finally got the Boxer step after 2 weeks of practice. I did as instructed & I 1st got it with my 1lb rope then I moved to my 1/2lb & then my speed rope. Its still a work in progress but I'm excited I got it. Working on controlling my breathing.

Very precise, articulate instructions. I'm still learning, now I can only get my body to listen and follow along, I will sing your praises! I just got a cross rope, even with what little I've done with it, it makes even someone like me so much better instantly - because of how smooth/easy/consistent it moves due to being weighted, and the fact that it does not tangle. Makes a huge difference compared to an average jump rope, very worth the extra money. Thanks so much for the video!
