I discovered Donna way back when (I have a vhs tape lol)...kids and life and 20 yrs later I picked up a brush agian and my practice came out pretty good her... techniques transcend time! So happy to discover her agian on KZfaq! Now to get my DD plastic practice sheets back off my now grown daughter who is a wonderful portrait artist. I used to use your method years ago, but life got busy and now retired, here I am again. I had a booklet of yours "somewhere" in my craft room. Wanted to add I now live in Valrico,Fl. I used to live in Plant City,moved to NY for 10 yrs and came back to enjoy my retirement and be closer to my daughter. When I started to learn I really liked the laminated lesson sheets that had the arrows to indicate direction of strokes. I could practice strokes right on guide and whipe of.

Dream come true...I have wanted this for so long...lost all my videos and practice sheets when my husband passed away in 2005...I had just collected the supplies whe he was diagnosed with Cancer...all my supplies were ruined in storage...but I so glad that it's not too late...can't afford to join but subscribed here...

Hi Donna, I watched your I video in an attempt to learn how to paint a 3-D cali-Lilly. My ears perked up when you mentioned the sessions you do with your students offering them a place to share their thoughts and heal while they paint. I wrote a book Life Out of Order…Coping with Narcissism Through Humor. In an effort to offer a more direct approach I’ve been laying out a plan for Strokes and Jokes where we can all get together in a virtually. Everyone is welcome to bring a joke, paint a picture and share their stories. Healing through humor, art, music is all the same. Do what makes you happy and the healing will follow. At the end people go away with positive stokes, a virtual pat on the back and a sense of accomplishment with their art. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. There are so many people who are struggling. I want to do my part by sharing the stories of who I triumph over being raised by a narcissist. I look forward t hearing back fro you. Be well. Gg

I have been binge watching your cabbage rose videos for a month now and practicing several hours a day. I can easily do the outside petals ( first 5) and then I mess it up. Do I have to have your brushes and the float medium to complete the rose and not mess it up?
