This was recorded a long time back so I want you to know that its still helping people and you should feel great about it cause there is still very little information on "How to" do 3D stunts. Theres not much else out there. To me this seems crazy cuz other hobby's everyone wants to help others learn, from Rc planes to baseball and waterskiing it seems like people will stop what theyre doing in the middle o their vacation to lend a hand and offer their knowledge. So THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Without u guys I would probably just stick to flying my drones. Kudos

very impressive man! i'm a 37yr old man from liverpool, england. I took up helicopters after 25 years in the rc car, buggy, truck scene. I got into rc helicopters 14 months ago, started with a trex 500 clone (HK500GT) many crashes later i'm currently running a 600 clone (HK600GT). Your videos have really helped me get past my fears after so many crashes early on! Your videos are very good, also considering at time of making you're just a teen! So thanks Aaron, really appreciate your vids!

Great info bro. I got a trex 470, very first heli. Now I have good control of it. Still learning the orientation when its on the side and nose in. Will try the flip when I get the chance to fly in a vast field.

Think I'm gonna try this on one of the sr models I have. not fussed about crashing those. got a 300cfx I want to be able to do it on but don't like the idea of crashing it. nor the 400 blade. maybe one day. I have an mcpx I bought to learn it on but even after full upgrades the main bearings still catch and the heli spins. any ideas on that one would be appreciated. its he cheapest option to learn

Very nice tutorials. All explained in a very simple, straight forward way. I had to get a few things cleared up in my head. For some reason I thought inverted forward cyclic would still mean nose forward flight, not backwards. This is all starting to make sense. :-)

I just want to say thanks for all the very helpful videos Aaron. I have been flying for 3 months and i am now flipping, rolling and inverted hovering my ncpx, mcpx, and 130x, when i get comfortable enough I will move it to my 300x and then my 450 3d, you have helped me out a lot and again thank you and keep the vids coming. Awesome flying man!!!

Nice video!!! Which way do you think is better when holding the sticks on the transmitter? Thumbs on top or 2 fingers holding each stick and why do you think one is better than the other? Thanks

thank you for the inspiration and you build confidence flipping good advice to. I'am going to try to flip the 180 cfx in the Morning I have done it with the 130x and iam very soft with it or the tail will kick out and it spins out for a second or two I have the bottom pin missing from the pitch slider that also helps the tail to freek out when you increase power too quickly I think the 180 cfx will flip much better fingers crossed

Thank you so much great video. I have a REDBULL 130x I did not realize that it is not a good 3-D helicopter until I bought so I am going to get another one. Would you recommend a 130 X or the new 300 CFX I am just able to flip my Redbull. My problem is that I do not have enough cycling to flip over quickly. so the 300 CFX or the 130X will be mcuh faster right?
@skaterboy2204110 жыл бұрын
Id recommend the 300cfx over the 130x,the 130 is stil la great heli but due to the larger size the 300 is more responsive and more fun to fly
@OlaFPV10 жыл бұрын
Aaron Heister thank you I am at least going to go with a 300 would you recommend a 300CFX or a 450x
@skaterboy2204110 жыл бұрын
Id definitely recommend a 450x,but a 300cfx is also a good heli
@OlaFPV10 жыл бұрын
Aaron Heister Thanks again is the 450x substantially better as it is $100 more. is it also easier to fly? I'm a kid and I get my money off allowance which isn't much so when I crash will it cost a lot more to fix it? Since the 450x and the 500 X are the same price what do you recommend going with a 500 X? I don't want to get such a big helicopter that it is dangerous. Or should I buy a 300 CFX wait a while and then by the 550X or 600X. thank you
@skaterboy2204110 жыл бұрын
if your going for a first bigger heli , id go with the 300 cfx or even a 300x,they both still fly good and its good to learn safety with the smaller helis before moving into a 450 or bigger.As for replacement parts both the 450 and 300 are pretty close in price of parts,the 300 is ever so slightly cheaper

Aaron Heister great flying dude just be careful with close maneuvers with these size of helis, you never know when a servo is gonna strip or something goes wrong. I'm sure you've heard of Roman Pirozek Jr. and what a great 3D Heli Pilot he was. I'm practicing my 3D with a Nano CPx and have crashed multiple times on grass but being little it's perfect to gain that confidence with the orientation and movements before going bigger.

What was the price for a 6-700 you suggest to learn tic-tacs on??? And are they like same size as yours here?? Sorry, i'm very new in this, but I see you know what you do. Keep the flow of videos thank you. Mick

Hey Aaron I just can't get into funnels, I'm happy with hurricanes both tail and front but I'm clueless about funnels, I simple don't guess what is the way to move on them. Can you make a video about it? Cheers
@Ruyela19 жыл бұрын
For easiest funnel just pull the sticks apart and collective slightly positive and cyclic slightly neg for mode 2 counterclockwise skids out nose up funnel. Or you can push them together for the clockwise. These are the easiest two and will get you started,

If I go full negative won't my rotors just stop rotating wich makes my heli crash?
@glowiever5 жыл бұрын
In acrobatic mode the rotors always spins at full speed, you control the pitch of the blade instead of the throttle speed now

How can you land your heli like that! What button do you press
@skaterboy2204110 жыл бұрын
throttle hold,then you use the headspeed left and feather in collective
@cesarfeliz954210 жыл бұрын
I do not understand those terms lmao! After throttle hold whats next? Im just a beginner in 3d rc heli. I have been using phoenix but i havent buy my first 3d heli, i only have a 4 ch heli. Im Srry my english is not the best! Also what heli do you recommend for 3d beginners?! Thanks
@skaterboy2204110 жыл бұрын
throttle hold kills power to the motor. On the heli i am flying in the video is collective pitch so its 3d capable so when i hit throttle hold i can still use the pitch of the blades to land it without power,and a good heli for a new 3d pilot is definitely the blade nano cpx :) hope this helps
@cesarfeliz954210 жыл бұрын
What kind of pitch are you using! Positive or negative? Im undecited between the nano cpx or te wltoy v977 im not sure! Can u see both of their speck and tell Me Which one is better for a 3d beginner!

I have experience on coaxial and fixed pitch heli copters and a lot of expierence one quad copters, but I am new to 3d and I don't want to spend all the money on a simulator. on horizon hobby, I am going to get a dx6i but I don't know if I should get a 130x or cpx. there is only a 30$ difference. can u help me plz.
@rcnut8129 жыл бұрын
A sim will ultimately save you thousands in crashes. A sim is useful no matter how high or low your skill level is. I consider a good simulator to be an absolute essential investment if you plan on being any kind of accomplished rc pilot.
@rcnut8129 жыл бұрын
Also I sure hope someone talked you outta getting a Spektrum transmitter. Spektrum is a second class product not suitable for Wal-Mart rc toys. Their tendency to brown out is costly and down right dangerous.
@skaterboy220419 жыл бұрын
rcnut812 Ive been flying spektrum transmitters for years now and have never had an issue.Ive put countless hard flights in on my dx18 and have never had an issue,when it comes down to it everyone has a preference and i just prefer spektrum. that being said futaba and jr etc are still great radios :)
@Ruyela19 жыл бұрын
If you don't want to spend the money on a sim you will never make it in collective pitch helicopters
