This is why I keep coming back to Leatherman, they aren't afraid to try new things, it's not always perfect but I appreciate that they are pushing into new areas. the skeletal, signal, MUT, and ratchet are all examples where they tried to do something a bit different. Thanks for watching!

I’d like to see it tighter but given how small it is and the nature of ratchets I think it’s well within what is considered normal. You get just as much play out of the connection to the leatherman adapter. Thanks for watching!

Glad you asked! I do plan to destroy this ratchet driver (Looks like the video is well on the way to 250 likes so I have to fulfill the promise!). I saw your video (Nice work BTW) looks like yours was close to 25 FT/LBS I have a 10-80 FT/LBS torque wrench, I'll do it manually starting at 10 then 15, then 20 and from there we'll go in smaller increments. I'm a bit surprised it didn't exceed 25lbs I wonder if yours had some weare from the other testing you did? I'll probably have this video up before the end of the weekend.

I saw TX Tool crib's review and destruction test I must say it was quite comprehensive.. intrested in seeing your channel's destruction test to see if that housing is consistently the fail point on this product

@@gearsNtools I still need to track down the proper wrench. I’ll wait to see yours so I can reference it as a baseline in a future video. We’ll have a better idea of the consistency of the results.

@@txtoolcrib I broke the Leatherman bit side right at 25 FT/LBS the ratchet functions but has a few sticky spots so it defiantly has some damage inside. I'm surprised by these results since your housing broke, I'm wondering if because I put multiple stress loads on it by working up the tourqe wrench settings I fated the metal. I'm really interested to see how your second test goes, I'll have my video up soon.

Thanks for sharing! I can only speak from my own experience it came in one piece and seems to work as advertised. I don't have any illusions that it'll be taking the lug bolts off my car tires but for screwdriver type work it seems to work well. Maybe they had a bad batch get out? It does have a 2 year warrantee so if you get a bad one for some reason you can always have LM replace it.

@@gearsNtools I really want to love it! When I first heard about them I was incredibly excited. Like you said, I hope it was just a bad batch..but I hope LM takes notice and fixes the issue before I give in and grab one 😆

Good question. It will fit into both. It will fit into a leatherman but it also fits into a standard 1/4” bit driver., the leatherman bits are basically the same as standard bits but with 1/16” taken off both sides so it’s 1/8” thick but still fits into a 1/4” driver with a gap on either side

no you would need to pull it off and put in in one of the side pockets of the sheath.
