Kobe got to be the undisputed 2nd best player for 3 of his rings- ANY all-time great player damn well better end up with 5 rings if they got to have a teammate who was even better than them! Even if you want to argue that he was equal to Shaq for the 3rd title they won, he still got to have a teammate who was at least as great as him. Conversely, LeBron got drafted by a joke of a franchise who miserably failed to get LeBron a Robin, which every all-time great has needed to win championships. You really want to tell me that if Kobe got drafted by Charlotte, he wouldn’t have been in the same situation as LeBron? Please. It’s not fair to LeBron OR Kobe to make rings the only factor in deciding greatness. It shouldn’t take away from Kobe’s greatness that he didn’t even have to be the best player on his team for most of his rings, and it’s not fair to LeBron that he didn’t have the necessary pieces you need to win championships for half his career. 🤷‍♂️
