Water could get in and corrode the terminals, also looks a bit funny with a big gap there

Hi again, how many watt and lumen do your led have? And are you still happy with it? There are so many different ones on the market.

Thanks for brilliant video! I am sick and tired of mine and gotta change it better one for night rides. Just couple of question. 6.8 headlight would be too big for the stock housing. Not really eager to change the stock housing :(

I've used a 5.75 and it's a bit small, 7 is a bit big but they make kits for them. I'm under the impression that anything outside these two sizes area basically cheap shitty knock off headlights. There are a number of adapter kits for a 5.75, just depends on whether you want to spend the money, or do a backyard solution like mine!

Beautiful job I have the same bike absolutely love it how much did this cost you between the headlight and the blinkers thank you for all the great videos and footage keep them coming I am looking to do a full mod list on my bike starting with performance it only has 600 miles as of now so soon I’m looking to do an exhaust system then either power Commander five or send it to get flashed I’m not really sure what’s better for this bike but I want to be able to takeoff the rev limiter and the top speed limiter besides that I think the bike will be perfect afterwards

I think the general consensus is flash is far more cost effective than a PC. As far as cost of the headlight and indicators, I have links in the description for all the parts I use!

Looks solid man. Been looking at a second bike and it's between the XSR and Triumph XE scrambler. Does the XSR fit well for tall blokes? I'm 6'5 and everything feels like a grom.

I'm 6'3". I love my XSR. I did add handlebar risers which required some cable rerouting and minor modifications. Rides almost exactly the same, but greatly increased my comfort.

Hi, I wanted to do this mod to my XSR900. Has your headlight held up since then, or did you need to replace it? Has there been any issues with it that you think are avoidable if I do the same mod? Thank you for the awesome install video!!!

I don't have the XSR anymore, so I can't confirm! But I've done the same thing on a couple more bikes, and I love these headlights!

I like the way it looks but that weather stripping won't last long as soon it gets wet or even with the wind force it will start getting off. Didn't you find a bigger headlamp?

CSI AUTO DETAIL the stock headlight bucket is a bizarre size, 5,75:is too small, 7 is too big

So your headlight is only secured to the bike with zip ties? There are no bolts anywhere actually holding it together?

Nah there's also bolts with nuts securing it, but zipties are the strongest bond known to man

Mine just arrived but couldn't figure out how to make it fit on the headlight housing. Did you drill any holes in the aftermarket one to make it fit?

If I were to get my learners and get this bike for lams would I be able to change these and the exhaust at home or do you have to get it verified by a mechanic?? I've looked around and every answer is different. I'm in Queensland btw

The 900 isn't Lams anyway, only the 700 is. The headlight wouldn't be an issue, neither should the exhaust as long as you keep the baffle in! Both can easily be done at home

@@spedinator2874 I think the akra pipes are legal if the baffle is in, and they don't really affect hp, so should be okay lams wise

Hey mate, How'd you rig up a bracket to mount to the factory bucket? My LED has no holes on either side to mount?

I cant remember exactly how I did it, but if I was going to do it again, I'd drill some holes in the heat sink plates, and make a bracket from buts at the hardware store

It's absolutely nuts, whole lotta power, so gotta be pretty light on the throttle, but she does alright!

You would have to chop the connector and splice it, but I didn't bother

@@danmanlivingthedream7069 there is a spade plug on the headlight, you would have to splice in the connection on the parking light wire on the bike, but shouldn't be a problem

Is your rubber seal still working?

Yeah it is! Although I replaced it with a slightly better weather seal rubber strip
