Big Dog...... Very good explanation on T/S the powersupply board. My only thought was I got lost early in the video when you were flipping the board back and forth . I thought it would be better if you stayed on the top component side when you were checking continuity of the circuit components. I know there are components on the bottom side, but i don't think that was the case early in the video. Just a thought.

Have been following you for at least 4 years!! really good videos... "Very knowledgeable..at least compared to me" have exactly the same board... I was actually measuring the output with you... but only half of my LED's light... was wondering if I have a damaged transformer?? "Perhaps... I purchased the entire set of LED's and it distribution manifold.. Have been so frustrated with it that have been considering to just mount a set of LED strips inside and use it like that..

hi, i now know that the power supply board is not the problem, tv comes on i see the sharp logo then goes off. would the main board be the problem how do i test it or would i be looking at the t-con board thank you

G'day BigDog, please tell me where I can get schematics for a Sony KD-55X8500E. I'm currently working on the P/S & have searched without luck to get schematics. TV is dead, no S/B, nothing. So far it looks like the fault may be a SMD ZUA transistor stopping power going to the IC that drives the gates of the MOSFET's. I have power up to source of the M/F. The IC can't drive the choppers as it's not receiving power. It would be a lot easier to diagnose if I could get schematics. Love watching your videos. Saved & Subscribed.

Thanks for all your video's I'm in a pickle with my wife to get this TV back together so here goes, if you remove the light filter paper and don't know how to put it back on in the correct order; Sharp LED LCD TV 58" was made in Oct 2018. Hey BigDog! Great video series! Very informative. One quick question: What should the voltage be across the opto-coupler terminals on the cold side? Also the hot side? This info wasn't clear in the video. I ask because I'm troubleshooting a Samsung BN44-00625C board that is turning on, off, on, off in approximately one second intervals. My research so far leads me to suspect there may be a short on the cold side that is causing one or more of the feedback opto-couplers to shut off the hot side. Am I on the right track?
