Jimmy Page is an innovator and the best rock and roll guitar player ever, John Bonhum, the drummer was a force of nature, a marvel . All LZ members were unique and each a genius in his area of expertise. There was nobody better and once you start down this rabbit hole you'll never be the same. Have fun.

The violin bow was used on several studio tracks on early albums, it is featured prominently on live versions of "Dazed and Confused". Check out Led Zeppelin's magnificent performances in the concert movie "The Song Remains the Same". This is one of the most enjoyable rabbit holes you are likely to enter.

Jimmy Page plays a Gibson Custom double neck guitar. The top neck is 12-string and the bottom is a standard 6 string. He plays it on songs that require both. In the studio, he would play the 12 string parts separately from the 6 string and mix the tracks. In live shows, he would use the double neck. Pretty slick. For Led Zep heavy blues, would recommend When the Levee Breaks or In MY Time of Dying. Or, my favorite, Ramble On. If you want to their later songs, try The Song Remains the Same or Fool in the Rain. You really can't wrong.

Bow. Traditionally horsehair. Drawn across a violin or cello. Count the pegs (for tuning). 6 string and 12 string guitar necks. For switching between them without having to unplug and unstrap from one guitar to another. Studio version audio with a montage of concert footage edited together for a video.

You must, definitively, watch them live, bro! When they're improvising! It's madness!..... PS: the double neck guitar, is a 12 strings guitar on the up, he's using for the rythmic guitar (but as he's a god of guitar, solos too sometimes), and the second neck is a 6 strings guitar, he's using to play solos! Watch them live! The best band ever on stage! Unmatchable ! Peace from France bro 😂👍✌️🎸🇫🇷

Break Out The Lead Here are just a few examples of Led Zeppelin's power and majesty to blow you away; Kashmir (the definitive Zeppelin song), The Immigrant Song, Since I've Been Loving You, The Gallows Pole, Ramble ON, Dancing Days, Going To California, How Many More Times, I Can't Quit You Baby, When The Levee Breaks, Thank You, Houses Of The Holy, Tangerine, The Rain Song, The Wanton Song, Moby Dick, Heartbreaker, The Ocean, Dazed and Confused, Black Dog, and last but not least, Whole Lotta Love! The band Led Zeppelin was hard to classify. Some labeled them hard rock, others called them metal while others labeled them a rock and roll blues band. In the end, they were a little bit of everything and a whole lot of unlike anybody else. No band has ever matched their sound in a genuine way. Led Zeppelin’s originality stemmed from the mesmerizing vocals of Robert Plant, the phrasings, riffs, and sound effects of Jimmy Page’s guitar work, the intensity and groove of John Bonham’s bass and snare, and the brilliant musicianship of the much underrated John Paul Jones. The merger of these four brilliant musicians resulted in a ten-year period of albums and tours that presented fans with the greatest rock and roll band of all time.

The double-necked guitar is an EDS-1275. The top neck is 12-string while the bottom is 6-string. They were each set to different tunings so Jimmy Page wouldn't have to switch guitars in the middle of a song. As others have mentioned, other performers have used multi-necked guitars, including Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones who would occasionally use a triple-neck (mandolin on top, 12-string in middle, 6-string bottom). In addition to some of the musicians mentioned, Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen also often used multi-necked guitars. Jimmy used a violin bow on his guitar. He wasn't the first guitarist to do so, however it is most closely associated with him.

Jimmy used a bow on his strings at times and everyone knows that 12 string was his fav on a lot of songs. Innovator in his own way. You can call their genre popular, heavy metal, psychedelic, folk, and blues rock. This debut song makes a first time listener think they just played crotch rock but they must do their research before judging.

After recording 2 albums as independents, they signed a 5 record deal with Lava Records. Their first songs since signing have been dropping over the past couple months. Maybe check out their official videos for their songs Evolve or Disciple, or check out their video with Alessia Cara doing their reimagining of Enter Sandman that they recorded for the Blacklist album. My favorite music will always be R&B, but through research I have learned that many of the songs from this genre are remixes of songs she wrote. Like Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”.
