Not in Texas.... 25% VLT tint is allowed above the manufacturer's AS-1 line or top 5 inches, with less than 25% reflection

How do you stick on your Registration and inspection sticker , like us New Yorkers are forced to do on that new tinted from Window? I also have this issue with my Nissan Frontier in Puerto Rico, where the Sticker has to go on right hand side of windshield 😢 Then thru habe to cut out that sticker carfully on the windshield and aling with timt cut out as well to remove sticker. Not sure if there is a legality of it having to be stuck directly on window 🤷🏻‍♂️ Thanks for sharing..

I had 5 percent all the way around. Never had any issues. But in NJ I think it's called a secondary offense or something like that. Meaning that they can't pull you over for just the tint. You would have to do something else to get pulled over. Then they can give you a ticket for the tint and whatever else they pulled you over for. But they can make up any excuse to pull you over.

In NY tint except for the back windshield is illegal unless you have a tint exemption. I got a tint exemption and got 5% all around with 35% on the windshield. Im thinking of going 20% on the windshield but I also drive at night so weighing my options right now

You have to include the manufacturer's tint as well, to get the total amount of tint. So if you state law says it can't be less than 80%, and you put 80% tint on top of 90% manufacturer's tint, it will be less than 80% total and it will be illegal.

Its illegal in all states unless you have a prescription from a doctor.. 💯%Truth... But it's considered a secondary offense where I am and they can only give a ticket for the tint if they pull you over for something else. They can't just pull you over for the tint. But they can make up anything to pull you over.

I'm definitely a state inspector for my state and I can tell you right now that is not legal in the state of Maryland before you advertise something is legal check with your individual state laws cuz I would fail that

Honest question - why would this barely noticable tint not be legal? What is the reasoning? Looks like you can see out of this just fine and law enforcement can see you through it so what seems to be such a big issue about this?
