Yeah, I don't understand why more people aren't pointing this out, including Disney themselves. Ron's only going after them because they opposed his stupid bill. This is like THE textbook example of violating the first amendment, but I guess nobody cares because they think every 1st amendment violation is someone on facebook telling them to shut up.

They didnt criticize the gov, they demanded political action and outright lied calling his bill something it wasnt, even this video lied about what it actually does, it doesnt make "discussion illegal" it makes "instruction from teachers illegal". They involved themselves into politics and most people in orlando are so sick of disney that they loved every second of it. This video also isnt completely honest, it seems to start at disneys "win" and stop before their utter defeat. Classic lawyer bs lmfao. Lets just say disney is "paying their fair share" now.

The only way you would have a worse chance of beating mickey mouse is going into a war against the actual character: the character can create a sword from his own heart that shoots magic (which if death battle is to be believed is superior to yoda’s lightsaber and the forc) the mouse also has army allies from every kingdom of every country (including the oceans), the rebel alliance, the imperials and the avengers. Ron desantes couldn’t beat that army, cathulu couldn’t beat that army.

Sex Ed and lgbtq are not equivalent. One is biology, one is either a mental illness, a sexual fetish, or people trying to fit in to a group. They all need help and love, but I promise you “affirming” them isn’t helping. If you look at the charts, as affirmation goes up, suicidality goes up.

@@Nina-zm4ej and honestly, the sex Ed I had in my school was borderline pornographic. A couple of my friends actually got addicted to pornography afterwards and it’s caused them a host of problem. I personally think that it should be taken down a ton of levels, or be left up to the parents, though I know not all parents will explain it.

Its actually kind of amusing is that Disney wasn't much of a business man when he started and it was after he got backstabbed by a business partner which is why Mickey's older brother got lost to time. So one could look at this situation as beyond death vow to never be swindled again. Now if only Disney applied that power to well...anything then what it is currently doing things would be pretty chill.

Corporations should not have their own district. Kids should not be taught sexuality. DeSantis won by as much as he did for a reason. You don't see many people that agree because they get shadowbanned. It's deeply amusing that part of how they got outsmarted was because DeSantis appointed to his board a bunch of people who agreed with him ideologically, but not legal or business law experts, and thus the people who appointed simply completely failed to notice what was right in front of them until it was too late to do anything about it, if only because that keeps happening with the GOP these days.

Remember kids, for every winning lawyer there is a losing lawyer and each is getting paid to represent. Sometimes you give legal commentary about areas you don't practice in and end up having this memorializing your legal career. Disney ended up folding more than a wrapper of trash from their overpriced concessions.

This is a PERFECT law for Malicious Compliance. Take the most "Karen" parent and send them daily notifications of changes in behavior: child asked to change seat, child drank milk, child stepped out at un unusual time to go to the bathroom, child has a new friend, child asked to join a glee club, drama club, science club, child asked a disturbing question in class, etc. Comply the hell out of that law.

They have had generations of legal experts consistently refining just the right charter waiting for the day when a governor like DeSantis would try to pull the trick of getting rid of their special district. What I see as a last line of defense for Disney is that their execs close the doors of Disney World, lay off nearly half a million employees (I would really hate it for them because it isn't their fault - it sucks being a pawn), and take a Disney cruise to Anaheim laughing all the way as DeSantis watches his tax revenues go south, unemployment spikes, and his approval rating goes to hell because he had the stupidity to chase one of Florida's biggest employers out of the state. Maybe he should just let free people be free.

Instead, it's a bizarre appeal to authority to sidestep the need to defend her flawed logic. She lays out a bit of argumentation resting upon flawed assumptions and narrowed views (akin to false dichotomies or not considering all possibilities) and then suggests Democrats are trapped by this logic...
