Beautiful personality!! Funny thing is that Shirley Temple, after whom MacLaine was named, was only 6 years older and was born on the 23rd of April, and MacLaine on the 24th of April.

I met Shirley MacLaine at Borders bookstore at the old WTC(pre-9/11) where I worked. It was during my lunch hour. It was a book signing. She looked amazing.

She was married when it suited her, when it didn’t she slept around ( she says her marriage was an open one. Sochi says she floated in and out of her life.

I really enjoyed your interview I just wished it had lasted longer and I got to see a little bit of one of my favorite Stars home and it was a pleasant exchange and the answers that she gave you I was not surprised and I'm sure you realize with she said she does not believe in death she was not saying she's not going to die she is just saying she was going to continue living but maybe in another body or in another Realm at least that is how I understood it

Sorry, but the daughter is wrong to "air" her family issues to the public. Clearly, in doing so she is attempting to HURT her mother, by airing them. This is not right. Everyone has family issues at times, and they are just that FAMILY issues that are no one else's business. If she has a problem with her mother, TALK to your mother. No reason to attempt to gain public sympathy (by getting people on "your side") by airing family dirty laundry. Settle it WITHIN the family, NOT in public.

She's done it all. McClaine is a survivor. She has had the career she demanded of herself and others . . She has played numerous memorable characters: A geisha, Weezer from "Magnolias", a mother . . from "Terms" and one of the most terrific song & dance performers of our time. Unfortunately she sucked at the most important roles of her life and it's going to haunt her.

She seems like a very selfish person and people consumed with themselves make bad mothers. Acting is a way to fake your way through life and staying disconnected from others.
