Regulatory capture... there are massive entrenched incentives for this to continue.

There also were for monopolized space flight as well as for fossil fuel burning cars.. then some dude came along and out-competed the incumbents. So how does one out-compete the regulators? The monopoly of force that all other monopolies stem from? How do we do that? I'm sure if there was a way it would have been done by now.. so no way? Or doe we lack some key tech that is needed?

Without radical decentralisation of power, it's impossible to achieve stable law. Only through legal competition between many micro states in greater confederation, you can achieve market equilibrium for law. Hence radical decentralisation is the only thing what really matters.

Did you come up with this yourself or did you read that somewhere? Really curious. Also, how would a competitive societal rule enforcing framework look like? And if this was possible, why don't we have it? Do we lack a key technology for it to work?

@@joansparky4439 You can watch several videos on this topic which offer different decentralized frameworks for law. I recommend "Law Without Government. Robert P. Murphy" and "Randy E. Barnett on Polycentric Legal Orders". We don't have it because clearly those in power don't want to give up their power. The world runs on power, not rationality (otherwise there would be no USSR, no China, no Cuba).

@@libertarianspirit _"We don't have it because clearly those in power don't want to give up their power."_ We won't be getting any other humans any time soon, ergo this will always be the case. So 'the liberal system' either is better and out-competes the monopoly that exist or it doesn't and it wont ever have a chance. Per my analysis the only way to overcome the old is if the new system is able to come up WITHIN the old system, slowly winning over people. You won't be getting a clean sheet, so it's got to work now. Thx for the pointers, I'll look them up and see what they got. PS: I'm currently thinking how to overcome the patent-system and similar constructs with technology and ultrashort contracts that would turn every exchange within our economies between participants into commercial ones. Everybody would have to become a 'corporation', while the important bits of it (which rely on technology) would fall within private/personal activities. So no breaking of the anti-competitive laws that are, while completely undermining them at the same time.

Not each rule of law is moral. Not each immoral behavior is banner by law.
