It's time to remote control something, in my case I use 4x4 X-treme Off-Roader (42099). You might ask why I don't use the control+ app. The reason is, that you can't use lights (8005) in the official control layout. But it's pretty easy to add lights to the car with the powered up app.

@@technicmaster0tutorials Thanks. I kind of hoped there is a way to emulate Android easily on Windows ;-)

Hi there thank you for putting up these videos these are very helpful, no idea why LEGO has not documented this, I called them last year on this and they told me to Google it to find someone who has documented which was a very odd response. It appears there are two coding sections this one under the remote control and the one outside the remote control area which is only accessed one way. I notice under the remote control there is the stand-alone dual-motor block the one with the rounded ends which does not appear in the other coding section. It appears there are different remote control blocks here than is in the other coding section. I have 4 wheel drive robot that I am trying to control and it works better in the section rather than the other coding section. Do you know why there are two different coding areas that are different? I have joined the Powered UP Facebook page and just waiting to join so I can post.

I think that they work on an official documentation or something else in that direction but so far I haven't seen anything of it. Yes, the premade remote control layouts have extra blocks. I think that they made it like that because these blocks are especially for remote controlled vehicles and until the last update there hasn't been the profile designer. So they didn't add them to the other layouts yet. However, all of these extra blocks can be made with other blocks, too.
