It's time to remote control something, in my case I use 4x4 X-treme Off-Roader (42099). You might ask why I don't use the control+ app. The reason is, that you can't use lights (8005) in the official control layout. But it's pretty easy to add lights to the car with the powered up app.

Thanks for taking the time to make these guides, it is very frustrating that Lego release all these different technologies with no real documentation of how it all works.

Good tutorial. I did notice that the forward and backwards were opposite if you wanted a rear drive car

HI mate! great video!) i was wondering if there is a way to program 2 motors from one hub and 2 from another as drive train, cant figure out how to connect 2 sets of motors to one aceleration slider(

You can use 2 motor blocks and give both of them the same slider as input. keep in mind to select the right motor port/hub (the hub select block is required for a second hub).

Good explanation but unfortunately outdated because Lego has upgraded the Powered-up app and now uses different symbols. Is there also an explanation with new symbols, that would be nice

I started a new series for the new icons. There is a new part (more or less) every 2 weeks and the latest part is part 3 :)

As a programmer I find it odd that you need to use a loop to read the value of a button, it could be nice if you could get an event every time a control value was changed.

You can make an event with the "start block with input".
